An amazing lineup for a UK club night, Godskitchen hosted a massive combination of Lange, Pulser AND Kai Tracid on its Futuregods night, playing some of the most fantastic uplifting trance and some of the harder edged underground productions coming from two other under-rated talents Petrae Foy and Adam Sheridan...
With Godskitchen continuing to create superb nights for the Birmingham community, they put together yet another storming session with the lineup as follows:
Venue: GodsKitchen @ Code, Birmingham
Lineup: Kai Tracid Pulser Lange Petrae Foy Adam Sheridan
The first three I am sure many of you are familiar with already, bringing you the latest in quality sounds and superb trance. But the latter two are definitely 2 of the upcomers of the trance / techno regime with a blinding fiery of mixing which will set your feet on fire.
Just to set the scene for those of you who are deprived of the experience, i will give a quick explaination of why Godskitchen is a great club to visit. First of all, the people, the atmosphere has been just great everyones there just to enjoy the music, i've not seen or heard of any trouble and there arn't idiots that walk round thinking they own the place. Second, the visual affects, from the dance floor looking up there are huge GK angels suspended in the air, the lighting an lasers are second from non and there are two huge screens with visuals of the DJ overlaid with pictures of the crowd and the GK angels. The upstair balconey also gives you a great view of the whole club also allowing you to see right into the DJ booth so you can watch the masters at work.
Entered Godskitchen for around 10:30. At this time Lange was already playing but the place was still half empty. By about 11 the it had filled up nicely and people really getting into the quality trance lange was playin. He played some good trance tracks and seemed to be keen on playing Katana productions. It must have been a little nerv wrecking for him to play a set in such a venue.. there were one or two noticeable mistakes in his mixing but he made up for those with the quality of music which he kept on spinning.
12o'clock came round real quick, and on came Andy Perring aka Pulser. He just stormed the place everyone was loving it, he laid down quality tunes such as those from the Insigma alias, Cloudwalking and the most amazing IMO, his own remix of Jose Amnesia's - The Eternal. This was definatly a great set to remember, tho didn't go as smootly as Andy might have liked with one huge error leaving him shakin his head. Next up Kai Tracid making his UK debute, As expected he was banging out the hard trance, the crowd were in a frenzy, loving it jumping up and down going crazy. Kai Tracid's German sound certainly raised a storm inside the venue! Next in line was Petrae Foy, he came on at around 3 continuing on with the hard trance and some Techno, and surprising the crowd with some superb scratching showing to us all he has plenty of talent. His set was extremely impressive. It started off really hard and pumping with a fantastic pace. He played some fantastic records which were driving everyone wild on the dancefloor, Petrae was also interacting with the crowds which was great. This guy is definetly gonna be big in the future with his amazing talent playing some of the best underground harder edged music! For all of you that went, hope you had a great time, and for those that missed it you really missed out. Everyone make sure your at Tiesto Solo part 4 @ GK it can't be missed. On the same note, we can expect Andy Perring (Pulser) to be putting more of his DJ skills to work at Godskitchen throughout 2003 with a bi-monthly residency. And furthermore, Andy is set to put a collaboration in with Alex Morph, the harder tipper trance guru who has also been creating a bit of a stir across Europe lately.
And for New Years Eve we have Pulser playing alongside Fergie at Godskitchen's NYE event!
