Sumsonic's own Paul Rogers is back again, this time with a real stormer featuring an exclusive mix from the one and only GPal. This is Paul Rogers second solo project for Sumsonic this year and what a treat it is with support already from the Deep Dish guys in USA once again forthcoming. Following on from Lazy Monday / Switch released earlier this year on Sumsonic this time Paul has emberked on a slightly more housey journey for krafty.
GPal is known for his work on loads of labels including most recently Yoshitoshi, whilst his own label ' Swift' continues to release proper quality house music. Paul and George hooked up whilst Paul was DJing in Greece and when he heard Krafty, George insisted on doign the remix.
The A Side: "ORIGINAL MIX"... is somewhere between the two tracks on Paul's last single, Switch and Lazy Monday. Deep elements are everywhere but the track can be played early or late on as required. The track has a great old skool sounding bassline which teases all the way through to the breakdown before offering a classic sounding key change to lead into the second half of the track. The production is great and the programming is solid so be ready for this one to set your dancefloors alight!
The B Side: "GPal Pandesia Dub Remix" .. Is another slice of quality from Greeces finest underground producer. The key elements from the original have been put into the washer and fed out over a dirty groove of unrelenting quality. The trademark pads and sounds are all in attendance as the mix builds to the breakdown. The percussion is layered up and the tension is built before the track rocks back into that solid groove once again.... astounding stuff!!
Look out for more Sumsonic quality soon: www.sumsonic.com
