Here we are with the next in our series of Hungarian artists, this release features the talents of top Hungarian underground DJ and radio jock: Tommyboy. Tommy is one of the main people responsible for the huge underground scene in Hungary with his pioneering radio shows being a regular fixture on the airwaves for many years. He is also co-owner of Underground Records, which itself has 4 different labels and is responsible for the high standards of underground musical knowledge of the people in Hungary.
This track was originally released on Planetarium label last year and they felt there was some great remix potential. They enlisted Luke Chable to do the bizz for them and they tip him for a big future. He is one of the Melbourne crew responsible for so much great music over the past couple of years and his productions have found themselves into all the right boxes and he has had notable compilation success including the last Nick Warren Global Underground. One of Hungarys fine young talents provides the remix, Julez is only 20 years old and his remix has already found favour with non other than Digweed himself, Look out for the Julez EP forthcmoing on Mechnism.
The A Side: " Luke Chable Remix" .. what can you say about this monster remix. Well the production is quite awesome to start with but this mix does not pull any punches. Dark and punding yet deep and groovy-it has it all. Drama from the off with a relentless sub charged- kick drum, the groove soon develops and glides nicely before breaking into a F***** up rendition of the original vocal....amazing sweeping pads are introduced as the builds and builds into total madness....lookout as this one really bites.
The B Side: "Julez Dub Mix" .. is a more deep and progressive journey, the pads have been well used to help carry the vibe through the mix. A great dirty bassline sound is brought in as a lead giving the track a proper dark Undeground feel as the layers are built up and up. The track drops briefly into a breakdown before quickly rolling back once again into its solid groove. Effects are subtley used to punctuate the mix as the chords drift in and out... more cool DJ Stuff....!!
