An epic, euphoric tinged, melodic style, progressive monster from the King Unique boys which is sure to give you a "Sugarhigh". It's been played at any respectable club and major event over the summer period, and now [i:Vibes] brings you the review of one of the best tracks of 2002!
One of the most anticipated tracks of 2002, been played all over the world and has caused major cross-over appeal... King Unique bring you "Sugarhigh". Hammered by major house DJs (from progressive - tribal) like Pete Tong, Sasha and even the number one man himself, Tiesto! Quite rightly one of the finest productions of 2002!
A1) Sugarhigh B1) King Kong B2) Sugarhigh Seismic
A1) Sugarhigh Introduced by some hard kicks (not DJ Scot Project hard, but thumbing) and an assortment of sounds, stabs and samples - this all brings the track to the first breakdown. The melody starts, a "green bottles on the wall"-esque tune backed by some heavy bass creates this melodic, driving tune that is just euphoria without the cheese! Sunset, sunrise, terraces with Steve Lawler and open air festivals with Tiesto all sound good when this track is played, in fact, they just make it even better! Quality from start to finish!
B1) King Kong A much more tek-trance/progressive affair with chunky beats and a sampled vocal opening the track and providing the building-blocks for a chunky, funky, deep trancer! You could almost take this and say it was a dub version of "Sugarhigh" which adds a nice theme/style to the record. Not as good as "Sugarhigh" but it aint bad at all!
B2) When you here this version, you realise why it became Pete Tong's "Essential New Tune" on Radio1! Pure nirvana on the sound front! King Unique are obviously on form, exceeding previous works such as "Hell" and "In Space" with this monster track! Watch this space for more news and reviews from these guys - well worth the wait!
