Ferry Corsten Album in the Works
Ferry Corsten has already been working on his first Ferry Corsten album, and things are looking really good. Find out from Ferry what he´s thinking of doing for his album.
"I'm starting on my Ferry Corsten album which should be released in the 2nd half of 2003. So I aside from continuing to produce, I plan to try and balance my producing and djing at the same time, and of course travel the world. I want the Ferry Corsten album, to show a variety of sounds, not only trance. So to all the fans out there to prepare yourselve already...open your minds :)I know I shouldn´t be saying this but I am in the works with collaborating, for the first time, with another Trance producer that I absolutely respect and admire. More news about that soon... Another track I´ve made featuring one of my favourite 80´s singers has been approved and is already listed as one of the tracks of the albums...Another...hmmmm, I think I´m giving too much away for this newsletter J The rest will have to wait!!!!"

Reaching number 9 on the DJ list
Thank you everyone who has voted for Ferry on the last DJ polls of the DJ TOP 100 list for 2002. Because of your support, Ferry reached number 9 as you all may know and herewith read Ferry's response to his top 10 position: "I am happily surprised with the results of the outcome of the list. It has been a very busy year for me both producing and djing. It's nice to be acknowledged that you did a good job! I was actually in Sydney when I got a call from Graham Gold regarding the result. I didn't expect the listing since It took a lot of time of to finish my System F album for Japan during the middle of the year, and of course I got married last spring which took a lot of time out as well to plan for the wedding. I think this year was obviously a strong year for trance music as well. Some people have been saying nasty things about the trance sound, and although I do believe that certain trance records can be considered trash, I believe 2002 just proved how popular the trance sound really is and how diverse trance has proven to be as a musical genre. I´m pretty curious to see how things will be shaping for next year in terms of the "new" kind of music that will be in or for that matter, a new kind of sound that will arise....I will be taking time off as usual from my dj schedule to make sure I get to produce some of those "new" records... :-) ". MoS Tour 2002
The MOs Tour 2002 was yet again a successful tour and a good chance to see the land down under. Here´s Ferry´s personal thoughts on the tour:
"Hi guys! Just got back from the MOS tour and it was absolutely wicked!!! The tour kicked off in New Zealand where we visited a couple record stores and of course played at a party for about 1500 people. It was really amazing to meet some people that traveled so far just to get there. Another surprising thing is that I signed a lot of records from fans who had some titles that even I had not seen in a long time. It's amazing how they had managed to get those records and I was pretty chuffed to see the lengths they took to get an original copy)".
"Next in the tour was the gig at Perth which was MAD!!!! There were about 5000 clubbers for the whole event and the club was amazing, it had 5 stories facing the DJ booth so if you look you can see levels of clubbers going crazy!!! I felt horrible that I had to stop at 4.00 a.m. but didn't have a choice as the police told us to stop playing."
"Took some time after that, and got some really good wines at Margaret River, and got to see some sights of Australia. Later on in Sydney, I walked the harbor bridge while doing an interview with Mos. It should be coming out soon so watch our for it."
"The night Sydney was just as hot...maybe even hotter, considering the club was smaller. It was nice to see that clubbers who are oceans away knew Gouryella-Ligaya straight away, and were singing along to Punk."
"Adelaide was good as well. To that guy, who asked me to sign this piece of paper saying that I'm number one... thumbs up to you man!!!"
"Last but not the least Melbourne was a good way to end the tour...It was a warm scene and I'm glad one guy gave me the Gouryella track to sign...I didn't bring a copy in my record bag so thanks to the guy who gave it to me if you are reading this note. It was great song to play as an encore."
The guy in mention from Adelaide is "DJ Dowlz" who's a Tranceaddict, so a big shout to him for getting a mention on the newsletter, well done mate :)
