Godskitchen held a completely free night for everyone featuring Jon O'Bir and Petrae Foy to help celebrate the launch of their forthcoming album released on Monday 13th January...
The line-up:
09.30-00.00: Chris Turner 00.00-02.00: Jon O'Bir 02.00-04.00: Petrae Foy
Chris Turner did a superb job of warming up the place for what was to be a most memorable night. As midnight approached, Chris did a great job of building up his set to finish off with some great trance setting the pace for Jon O’Bir to take us away on a trance journey from midnight for the next two whole hours.
Jon O'Bir (who was recently featured on Fergie’s Friday night Radio 1 show) is going to be a name to lookout for this year. The 18year old from Nottingham who won the Passion and M8 Magazine DJ competition last year was recently interviewed on i:vibes and can be seen here.
Jon played an amazing set full of some of the most amazing trance, which the crowd was going wild over as seen in the videos featured at the end of this review. A most memorable moment was when Jon played ‘Pulser – Cloudwalking (Beat Pusher Remix)’, and looking down towards the dance floor at each individual loving every single moment of a production who’s original is a personal trance all-time favourite. Jon’s mixing was absolutely spot on during every transition from one masterpiece to another, he could not be faulted but only praised for his amazing talent!
Petrae Foy came on at 2am sharp and took the rest of the night into his own hands. He certainly picked it up from where Jon left it and turned it around promptly to play some of the fastest hardest and most energetic sounds you have ever heard. Petrae Foy is yet another name that will most likely be storming the scene this year, so keep your eyes peeled for his name! One of the most memorable moments of Petrae’s set was when he was doing some awesome scratching along to Green Martians ‘Industry’.
This was a most fantastic night! Reviewed here on i:vibes for all to see, featuring pictures and videos… who else brings you all this? You know where to come back for more.
