Rumours are spreading that GU is going bankrupt after a difficult year. Will the most successful series come to an end in 2003? We hope not.
After rumours on different messageboards, the GU messageboard delivered the following statement:
directors of Global Underground have voluntarily appointed administrators to restructure the company and help manage it through the current difficult financial climate that a lot of the industry is suffering. This is to dispel recent message board gossip on the subject.
The two driving forces behind the GU series: James & Andy aka The Boxed Boys, started the series with Tony De Vit, and followed with mixes from Sasha, John Digweed, Nick Warren, Danny Tenaglia, Deep Dish, ... making this serie one of the highlights when it comes to progressive DJ mixes.
But with the statement delivered on their messageboard, one can think that GU will come to an end in 2003.
We just hope that this won´t happen, and wish GU all the best of luck in 2003.
