A very interesting single and its reworks here. Choose yours ;) !
Tukan - Light A Rainbow (3 remixes) First of all, this tune deserves attention because it is a really good production of the recent times. Finally I have found the original version (also called Original mix) and two another reworks. I am not playing this track 2 the clubs often because I have no vinyl version, but from CD it goes ok. First I have heard "Light A Rainbow" on the ATB CD ("Best DJ of the world" series), it was a livemix, almost nine minutes long. Live it was not so nice because of drums/noises brought by Andre, but I have caught the main melody and the rhytm. Nothing specail here, traditionally made double chorus, piano, soft electro sound and good beats. The second version I found is the shortened Sony dance division rework. This ne is really essential, just 3,5 min, but the best parts were saved and brought together. The third remix was made by Green Court and Marc Dawn (could be found on CD1 TTF volume 18). They both made me scream... For what do they make these compilations? To listen 2 home in headphones? Could be. But I always thought they are also usable to mix live. But no. I was sitting with a girl @ home and discussing this problem, we listened to Judge Jules performance live from TranceEnergy (21 of October). He played really good but all tracks he offered had a pause in the middle: two minutes you dance, 30 seconds you just stand and wait, then everythings repeats. Both Tukan remixes have the same thing - all these annoying pauses and female vocals make the people stand, but they should dance! ;) I have nothing against this track but all those remixers could make a "speakers-blasting" version. "CJ, but you can mix CDs, you have everything here, you also chose the tracks to play!" - told me that girl. I agree, but I still want the CD publishers to think about us and not just about home-listeners. I still recommend you to listen to this tune, it is good and contemporary. Resume: ATB was performing live and he played it good, Dream Dance Team made a short, but impressive variant and Green Court just added some hard drums.
