The long awaited follow up album to 'out of the blue' is upon us, but what is it actually like ? Will it live upto the great expectations of Ferry's many fans, or will it be a no-go ? Find out Here!
Taking a quick look at the cd, all tracks are very short, so I don't know whether this will hinder the CD, sometimes 8 longer tracks can be shorter than many more short edits, but here goes!

First up, we have the title track, and it is a very quick effort indeed, which I think is going to be the case for the album. 'Together' is a very happy bouncy tune tho, with a nice break to it, and minus the cheesy vocal could possible be developed into a full 7 or 8 minute 12" Tune, in my opinion anyway - 7/10
Sonnet appears next, and begins quite slow, but with an interesting sounding synth used, quite unique, if a little bit on the commercial side I think, I personally don't mind this tune, but I don't think it's as good as Together - 6/10
Ligaya comes next, and I don't know what words haven't been used to describe this tune, like Walhalla it uses a female vocal, and I'm still unsure on that in this edit anyway. It is definitely a love/hate tune, I don't think anyone sees it as just an ok tune, but I like the strings & sounds involved in it, so it gets 7/10
Ignition, Sequence, Start comes next, and once again, theres no buildup as such, 30 seconds into the tune and its already building up, a shame really because I think Ferry can be magical when producing longer tunes. Once again He has experimented with a breakbeat section, nothing deep & dark though, just gentle and keeping the 'happy' sound I think seems to be the theme for this album so far, Sadly I think this is another tune that has not been given long enough for me to make a full decision on, but 6.5/10 it is
Dance Valley Theme 2001 comes next, and obviously needs no introduction. Ferry seemed to go mad with the bass on this tune, and I really dig the bassline, especially on the vinyl when you can throw the pitch up a little bit, and it explodes, almost like a drum & bass effort, blasting away on the speakers. Like Ligaya though, this is a love or hate tune, and I see it as the first, giving 8/10
Following on, we have Deja Vu, no, not that it's another short edit, but that's the name of this one! Another very soft tune, I quite it, obviously it's not a tune that will break dancefloors out into a frenzy, but to leave it on the cd player as you are working, or chilling out, it will definitely serve a purpose. 8/10
Spaceman comes next, and it is a vocal effort, which is not as happy as the previous tunes, but still cannot be really classified as deep, just less uplifting than before, and another one that seems to be a little on the commercial side, though I'd rather hear this than some of the music in the charts pretending to be trance, just not dancefloor approved! 6/10
On the first album, Ferry included 'Insolation' which was a moving, slow, experimental tune which really touched a lot of people. Not wanting to disappoint us, we get 'Savannah' on this second helping, which follows the same principals, a nice piano like melody, a slow soft breakbeat and a nice softish string sound in the background too, adding to a real feeling of purity, If Ferry wants to experiment more on his personal album under his own name, then I hope he throws in some efforts like this, truly amazing, and the best tune on the cd in my opinion - 10/10
To try and follow the last tune is a very hard task, but the one known as Pegasus seems to have drawn the short straw in this case. It is a much better effort than some before though, and maybe the best piece of original 'trance' on the cd, a nice simplistic bassline, and a melody that is catchy add to it, and it gets 9/10 from the Judge in this case.
Reaching Your Soul comes next, and it's a bit weird, can't put my finger on it yet, it's a bit less happy than the previous tunes, and in places reminds me of the great 'Orange Theme' by Cygnus X, in a darker way, and I'd definitely be interested in hearing a longer version of this one too to see how it goes, 8/10 from me, simply cause it's too short at the moment.
Back onto the more commercial sounds next, with Devotion, another very short piece. It's not a bad song, but after listening to all of the others before, doesn't do anything to make it stand out and tell me to go straight to it next time I turn the CD on, 6/10
Next up comes 'Underwater' and it starts off with a similar sound to that used in Ferrys remix of 'Desiderio - Starlight' from 2000 time. The thing with this particular song is that it makes a more noticeable effort to build up, progress into a full tune, even if it could still be a lot longer. The sounds in this sound almost like they're glistening in the sun, can't really describe them, but for the effort to make this a better constructed tune, I'd say it deserves 7/10
Sadly, Solarize, which has drawn the unlucky 13th track seems to lack a build up, I know this is a commercial cd, but I think it would appeal more with some longer edits. It's not a bad song either, but too many short edits can be a bit of a pain to the hardened fans. Once again this features a short soft breakbeat sound, and is quite interesting, if only jumping straight out at you, needs to be longer, 6/10
Q-Rious is the penultimate tune, and is quite a nice song, which I'd love to hear 6 or 7 minutes off rather than less than 4. Potential is there I think to make a longer tune, but we shall have to see. 7/10
Finally, just for those who've not found the CD commercial enough, we have the vocally dependant 'Spread Your Wings' which begins with some nice strings, but quickly turns into a tune you would expect to hear on a Dave Pearce show. I have defended many trance tunes with vocals as I think some go really well, but this sounds more like something one of the more commercial artists would do, and really is quite poor compared to the others, so gets the lowest score yet, 5/10
Overall I would have loved to have seen more prolonged efforts. I understand this has been released specifically for the Japanese market, but there are a lot of people who I suspect will be a bit disappointed, not because it's terrible because it Isn't, but it doesn't do Ferrys talents justice. Be Warned, if short tunes are your achilles heel, don't go near this, but if you do, remember that Ferry is capable of a lot more in some cases. I think overall, I'd give the rating as 7/10, nothing awe inspiring, but not terrible either, in most cases.
