Having the vocal treatment, this huge hit first time around has had the 2003 treatment. Includes the new '4 Strings' remixes, which can only mean good ol' uplifting trance! Not a bad little signing, check it out ...
After its first outing (also on Liquid records), 'Dont Want Your Love' has had the vocal treatment - which is big in Europe at the moment - and with top production guise '4 Strings' on remix duties, 2003 starts well with this release.
A1: 4 Strings Vocal Remix A2: 4 Strings Instrumental Remix B1: Vocal Club Remix
A1: 4 Strings Vocal Remix The tracks starts in a very typical '4 Strings' manner, not too hard, but not too soft - a nice blend of all things trance! As the track progresses, the vocals start and the track turns slightly cheesier - putting me off playing it in a mix, whilst captivating me to listen, the vocals cause me to have contradicting feelings. The subtle use of the main tune from the original release, 4 Strings take it to a new high.
A2: 4 Strings Instrumental Remix Strange but true, this feels empty without the vocals. The tune doesnt seem to go any where - another 'Castles In The Sky'? Who knows?
B1: Vocal Club Remix The track begins, just like the original and brings a slight nostalgic feel to the release. The main tune which made it a mega dancefloor bomb is now accompanied by vocals which creates more mixed feelings. Does it need them? Do they sound good, or is it 'DJ Sammy' all over again? In my opinion, the vocals spoil a good track, but as this is the norm these days, a top 20 hit is inevitable!
Well, I feel a great tune has been ruined, but has had a refreshing face-lift at the same time ... hard to explain, so check it yourselves. 6/10
