More remix's of the popular 1995 tune from Holland's 'Spinnin Records' including a fantastic Hard Dub Remix from E-Craig.
Spinnin Records brings us another superb release featuring the following tracks:
A1: Universal Love (E-Craig Hard Dub) B1: Universal Love (2003 Remix) B2: Universal Love (CJ Stone Remix)
A1: Universal Love (E-Craig Hard Dub) E-Craig David has been on form recently especially with records like previously reviewed 'Drum Beats' also from Spinning Records. This is no exception, a strong driving sound with a nice hard edge to it. As the track eases down into the break down there's some cut down version of the female vocals with some nice effects before the hard driving bass line and beat kicks in again. The uplifting fans may not take much to this but those who like the harder edged funkier grooves are going to love E-Craig's remix.
B1: Universal Love (2003 Remix) The 2003 remix is a lot slower than the other remixes with a slightly more 'house' sound to it. However, its still got a nice funky sound and feel to it. Not quite what you would expect to hear in a Trance Set but still a good listen non the less.
B2: Universal Love (CJ Stone Remix) The pace is picked up again with the CJ Stone Remix. The vocals seem pretty much preserved but the beat and bass line have been replaced with something a little harder but not quite matching up to the E-Craig hard dub. Another major addition is a very nice lead playing a nice Trancey riff giving a slight uplifting feeling to it but kind of comes off as very slightly cheesy.
Conclusion The E-Craig Hard Dub is what makes this record worth buying, It's fantastic remix and we hope to hear and review more of his hard work in the near future, although the CJ Stone Remix is sure to be quite popular with those club crowds too.
