A1: Joy (Symphony Of Strings Remix)
The Symphony Of Strings Remix is quite hard with a nice kick in there... The track very quickly gets up to speed and the vocals are soon introduced. The bassline and effects go very well with the very unique voice behind the vocals. In the breakdown theres a kinda '4 strings' synth playing a wicked uplifting riff.. a typical hands in the air moment for those who will be sure to hear this in all the major clubs leading up to an absolutely superb climax.
B1: Joy (Singles & Angles Remix)
It would be very difficult to compete with the Remix on the A side of this record. However, the Singles & Angles remix kind of takes the track into a different direction. Certainly not as hard as the Symphony Of Strings Remix but theres still a nice beat with slight slower pace. Theres some nice additional synths in this remix which help to hold it up to a nice uplifting piece. This is probably the type of track you would expect to hear in the warmup to a typical trance set.
B2: Joy (Symphony Of Strings Remix Instrumental)
This is still a fantastic track even without those nice vocals. Those fantastic breakdowns... yes two of them... They really do make this track a 'must listen'.
Conclusion
Sure to get a play from some of the big trance names in the DJ scene, the Symphony of Strings boys (Donald & Giles) have some fantastic talent and im sure theres going to be plenty more from them in the coming months.
