A few months ago we at ivibes reviewed a track called Mass Medium – Gotta Have It included a remix by the producer of this new track, DJ Premacy. The remix which DJ Premacy produced last year was superb and won him a record contract with Blue records which is the home of reputable artists such as Club Caviar & Mass Medium. Will this debut single be up to the quality of the remix from last year? Lets see…
DJ Premacy – Feelin Better
A1 – DJ Premacy – Feelin’ Better [Vocal Mix] B1 – DJ Premacy – Feelin’ Better [Dub Mix] B2 – DJ Premacy – Feelin’ Better [Hardstyle Mix]
A1 DJ Premacy – Feelin’ Better [Vocal Mix] Lets start of by saying congratulations to this producer! He is pretty new on the game and this is his first single, to be released on Blue records. We begin with a nice kick and then when the groovy percussions kick in we already can recognise a quality track. This is not my typical style of music but I have found myself listening to this track casually. The vocals are really relaxing and the overall ‘feel’ of the track is profound and can put you into a good mood. The vocal goes ‘Feelin Love, Lover were through, feeling love its all over you’ which are sang by a great vocalist. Im not too sure if this is a cover track, but if it is please post in the comments section. Anyway, there are no ripping synths or crazy buildups in this one, but fortunatly that’s not a bad thing. I feel that this track is a nice sound to listen to on a Sunday afternoon, during your chilling out period. Defintly worth a look if you like to keep your crowds at a steady pace, or even if you desire a relaxing Sunday.
B1 – DJ Premacy – Feelin’ Better [Dub Mix] This mix is basically the exact same at the vocal mix, but without the vocals of course. I cant really have much to comment on this track as it lacks the beauty of the vocals from the vocal mix, and I wouldn’t listen to this version myself. Without the vocals there is not really that much there. But if you are not a fan of vocals then this one is for you.
B2 – DJ Premacy – Feelin’ Better [Hardstyle Mix] Well, personally I wouldn’t call this track hardstyle, in fact id prefer to call it the club mix or something, as essentially that is what it sounds like to me. This is also a nice remix, although unfortunatly does not posess the same quality as the original vocal mix. The vocals are in here but not as frequent. The bassline & kicks are slightly harder than the original and its still got a certain groove about it. There is nothing much else really to say about this mix.
Summing up, I feel that the majority of people will listen to the vocal mix rather than the others. A very enjoyable track that’s sure to do well. Well done to DJ Premacy and good luck with your future at Blue records.
