Well as everyone in the planet has heard this track, I'm sure it doesn't need a big introduction... What I can say is that I'm very glad to be able to hear this wonderful track modernised by Gabriel & Dresden. Will this track be as popular as before? Read on to find out...
Nalin & Kane - Beachball 2003 [Extended Vocal Mix] Nalin & Kane - Beachball 2003 [Gabriel & Dresden Mix]
Nalin & Kane - Beachball 2003 [Gabriel & Dresden Mix] How many of you know about the original of this track? I'm sure you all do! As this was once the best trance anthem when it was released all those years ago! Now we have a new version of the classic with a remix by Gabriel & Dresden. Power is not the aim of the game in this mix, rather, a downbeat and easy listening type of track is what we have. This one will be perfect for those beach partys which will become ever more frequent in the coming months. You will be glad to note that the bass has remained, slightly altered, and the vocals are also very much present. On a personal note I find this track rather boring and repetitive, but maybe thats what was intended and the original was pretty repetitive also. Over all I do like this track but it definitly lacks something, or a presense per se. I would like to listen to this track after a night out or perhaps on a sunday afternoon while I'm chilling out. In fact I would like to hear this track finish off a beach party as it really would set the mood for a beautiful sunset.
Nalin & Kane - Beachball 2003 [Extended Vocal Mix] This is basically a revamped version of the original I think. At the moment I should have a version of the original playing in the background but unfortunatly I lost my vinyl of this track. This is a very nice track which retains the same feel as the original a few years ago. The vocals are nicely in here with nice beats. Once again we have an ongoing track with little breathing space, not that you wouldn't need it as this track is not full of power like some of the tracks out there these days. Like the Gabriel & Dresden mix I also would enjoy this on a sunday or after a beachparty coming up on sunset, however I enjoy listening to this while driving my car, on long journeys across the country...
Summing up: if you enjoyed the original of this track then you should enjoy this one, if not for its sentimental value, but for its sheer ability to chill you out, and to bring back memories of the days when trance was at its utmost high point.
