We get teched up, dubby, funky and progressive on these two pieces from Dutch producers Jaimy & Kenny D, who keep it deep and dark, just the way the crowds like it on an upcoming release.
In the past, Jaimy & Kenny D have been putting forth productions across a wide diversity of genre, gaining support from DJs afar as Paul van Dyk, DJ Tiesto, Danny Tengalia and others. Here are two upcoming releases on ID&T Records in Holland from dutch duo Jaimy & Kenny D and is currently being issued on whites at the moment.
The Real Thing
From the first initial beats, you already know that this is going to be massive on the speakers and dance floors, with a tribal percussive vibe which beams feet action across the floor and a true clubby feel. The airpads and vocals which are tainted throughout the track add nice complements to the downright funky progressive production and would definitely be on the playlists of Sasha, Danny Tenaglia and others causing havoc in clubs across the world. The boys keep it simple and neat with enough elements to keep most people happy...
Give It To Me
Moving along, we have something a little different from the last track in a more teched up production which borders on 3 genres; progressive, techno and trance, combining elements from all three in a swooping 8 minutes. After the initial 4 minutes there is a hint of a housey vibe, but that never truly breaks through as the basis of the production and this to me would be a nice set builder for DJs such as Sander Kleinenberg and Cass without being too deep or dark.
Overall, two subtly different productions showing just what Jaimy & Kenny D can do. I personally prefer The Real Thing as it's definitely the more funked up track; and I almost found myself dancing in my room as I was listening to it. Nice stuff!
