After Airdrawndagger, Sasha releases his ‘unreleased dj mixes part 2’, with two new songs and the U&K Remix of Wavy Gravy….

Airdrawndagger was and is a piece of musical history in the dance scene. The album was anticipated for years and years, and when it finally saw a release, people were in awe. It is the new ‘Leftism’…

Artificial Heart is the same as Airdrawndagger, but more dance-floor based. But still, they have the same emotions as the album, and are considered to be amazing.

A1 Artificial Heart
B1 Motorola
B2 Wavy Gravy (U&K Remix)

Starting with Artificial Heart as the first song on this release is inevitable. This starts with some nice echoing sounds, a bit like the beginning of Airdrawndagger, and you know it is all good. The beat in this track is so subtle that you just don’t pay much attention to it, and that’s the whole point. You don’t listen to this track to hear the beat only, you have to listen to it completely, every element of this song is so well chosen that they all come together in a manner that only Sasha can.
This could easily have been added to Airdrawndagger!! Great song in my opinion. Great to listen to at home, or in a club…

On to Motorola… The beginning of the song gets you ready for things to come… the sounds you hear are soothing, relaxing, and are revealing the veil of the rest of the song.
It’s another one of those songs that is produced in a manner that you just hear the true essence of the song. It only confirms that Sasha is one of the most talented producers on the world.
He rather speaks using sounds then using words, and it works for him…
Motorola is perfect for the dance-floor at the beginning of a set… But listen to this at home, and you’ll float away, away to a place where beauty is the only element that is present…

And as last song we have the U&K Remix of Wavy Gravy.
Wavy Gravy was the first song to see a release from Airdrawndagger, and was widely welcomed as an amazing, atmospheric breakbeat song.
U&K are two producers from Finland who have touched Wavy Gravy with their own unique sounds. It keeps the melody from the original, but loses the breakbeat parts. And that’s where they have gone wrong in my opinion.
Wavy Gravy shouldn’t have been touched in my opinion, it was perfect in it’s original state, and this remix is a good addition, but doesn’t come near the original.
