What do you get when you cross Hemstock & Jennings with Olmecheads...? Pure madness! We have a sneak preview for you of one of the big upcoming tunes this year of the harder style
If you're a fan of Marco V, you will love this track. Westy Olmec has put together a remix of one of the big tracks from H & J in a true hard trance style, with the original release having come out on H & J's own Phaze label.
What we have for you is a sneak preview of what this one brings and how it'll blow up your speakers.
A1. Hemstock & Jennings - Zulu (Olmecheads Voodoo Mix)
If you have been accustomed to Olmecheads previous productions or remixes, you may not be expecting this one. Starting off hard, pulsatingly hard and finishing it off hard, this one has all the sounds which makeup dance music today.
I would classify this as hard tech trance as this one has the pummeling bassline, complete with electronic blurs, snares and general bass madness. Building up over the space of almost 3 minutes before the sample from the original comes through..
Those tribal chants blends perfectly with the buildup and during the 3-4 minute mark, you can almost sense the crowds roaring as this peak time stormer rolls back into it's driving bass.
Although teched up and mechanized, the original trancey sample is ever present throughout the eight minutes which this one propels itself and without a doubt, this one is going to be big with the likes of Marco V, and Paul van Dyk.
Look forward to this one coming forth soon.
Conclusion:
Refreshing music unlike most of what you hear being released these days, this one comes through as deep, hard and it never stops pushing that bass through your head and even the break which I mentioned at the 3-4 minute mark seems to continuing pummelling that electronic vibe.
The only thing which some of you may not like is the electronic bassline, but I feel that is what makes up the track, keeping the melody flowing and building in this peak time 1am stormer.
