Many People will be familiar with Christian Rusch's collaboration with Greg Murray, entitled 'Epic'. Now It has been signed to the Anjunabeats label, with news of a remix too!!

				Anjunabeats signs “Rusch & Murray”
~ ‘Epic’ Original Mix and Above & Beyond Remix set for July release ~

Rusch & Murray ‘Epic’ is an interesting collaboration between two producers who have never met in person, only in Cyberspace.

‘Epic’ came about when Swedish producer Christian Rusch emailed some melody ideas to Leeds-based UK producer (and traditional furniture maker!) Greg Murray, after the two had become acquainted through a music website.

Over the weeks that followed, the pair exchanged ideas and midi files over the web until they were happy with the track. Epic went on to become one of the most popular downloads on www.mp3.com and the boys sent CD’s to many of the world’s leading trance labels.

‘Epic’ came to the attention of the Anjunabeats collective following an afternoon spent listening to a pile of demos that had accumulated in the studio. The tune was immediately signed up for a release on the label, and Above & Beyond were persuaded to dust off their synths and knock up a remix.

James Grant from Anjunabeats has been quoted as saying
"The track stood out from a lot of the demos we get sent and has a cool, melodic feel that fits perfectly with what we're trying to achieve with the label. I think we'll see the record in a lot of DJ sets over the summer months."

On the A-side, the Rusch & Murray Club Mix is built around a massively addictive plucky synth riff and Van Dyk-inspired stabs, and the result is a wonderfully uplifting and driving instrumental trancer.

Meanwhile Above & Beyond deliver a typically polished offering on the flip, incorporating a lush counter string riff and successfully booting the track into Balearic Bliss territory.
