Aalto - Rush, a Favourite tune of DJs like Paul Van Dyk & Matt Hardwick is being picked up by the prestigious Vandit Label!! Read the full story here, including an Anjunabeats release!
Aalto ‘Rush’ is the rather juicy fruit of a collaboration between Finnish producers Paavo Siljamaki and Miika Eloranta. Siljamaki is best known for his work as POS and as part of Above & Beyond and Oceanlab, while Eloranta’s star is rising under his Super8 guise, following some top notch remixes of the likes of Goldenscan\'s \"of our times\", Aurora and Rollerball\'s \"Albinoni\"
Together the pair form Aalto, an act which first emerged on the trance scene in mid-2002 with the release of their debut single ‘Liquid Sweep’. The tune became lodged in the boxes of many an A-list DJ and was described by Alex Gold as his ‘biggest tune in Ibiza 2002’.
Reactions to a few strategically dispatched CDR’s of the follow-up, ‘Rush’, suggest that the tune could turn into a bit monster, with Matt Hardwick, and the two White Van Men, Van Buuren and Van Dyk all giving their advance copies a thorough battering. Indeed in the case of the latter, the German Uberjock has lined up the track for a release on his Vandit label in Germany.
The original mix ‘Rush’ is an uplifiting, instrumental trancer that will appeal to the more discerning floor, but it is the Super8 V Orkidea reworking that has kicked this into classicville, delivering a mix more uplifting than erm, a Bluewater escalator…. Do the sensible thing and invest in some fire-resistant slipmatts now – this is one hot piece of plastic.
