Ben Keen is one of the most acclaimed hard producers ever, and he brings us a banging new album soon, collaborating with many other big names in the scene!
The master delivers his opus. Ben Keen is the most prolific and successful hard dance producer of all time and this August he turns in his most comprehensive work to date. He has invited the most influential players on the massive hard dance scene into the studio to create the ultimate snapshot of this vibrant movement whose influence stretches all over the world:
Kollaborators Anne Savage, Andy Farley, Rob Tissera, Paul Glazby, Lab 4, Guy McAffer, James Lawson, Tom Harding (Dance Valley NL), Christopher Lawrence (Dance Star USA DJ of the year), EJ Doubell & Dave Randall
Released on Monday 4th August, this release is going to demonstrate just how all-pervasive hard dance has become in the dance scene in the year 2003. From the techno of his kollaboration with Guy McAffer to the stadium trance of the track with America's number one DJ Christopher Lawrence via the massive hardhouse tracks with leaders Andy Farley, Paul Glazby and Lab 4, the world will take notice... this is the sound that rocks the big room and this is the sound of the peak time.
In four years, Ben Keen has produced over 75 original tracks and collaborations for Nukleuz Records. In addition to this he's remixed many tracks in his trademark style for labels such as: Data, NuLife, Positiva, VC, Ffrr, Serious, Mute, Tidy Trax and Tripoli Trax. Always one step ahead of the pack, it was BK’s productions that drove the huge surge in interest in the hard house scene in 2000 and it was BK who mixed the first major label compilation 'HardHouse Anthems' with a young DJ called Fergie in 2000!
As a member of the a-list DJ circuit since 2000, Ben has appeared at the biggest dance events on the planet including; Dance Valley in Holland (100,000 people), Global Gathering UK, Gatecrasher Summer Sound System UK, Impulse NL, Frantic HardHouse Academy UK, Creamfields UK, GodsKitchen NEC UK, Judgement Sunday Ibiza, Lashed Ibiza, Gallery UK, Slinky UK, Buzz @ Nation USA, Code Japan. He is resident at the two most forward thinking hard dance events in the UK: Frantic's Convergence and Nukleuz's Riot! at The End. As the number one producer in the UK, he has built up a reputation as the DJ with the latest productions and has been responsible for the introduction of techno into the hard house scene.
Having worked in studios for over a decade since he left school, Ben cut his teeth making music for advertising. An ardent clubber and a regular at the infamous Trade at Turnmills since its early days, his dream was to make music that his idol Tony De Vit would play at the club. Shortly before his untimely passing, Tony did in fact spin one of BK's early tracks and the rest has become history... The high point of Ben's production career has undoubtedly been the national Radio One daytime playlisting of 'Revolution' at the end of 2002. Having received support from dance specialists Judge Jules and Dave Pearce, the track then became one of the few that crossed-over to the daytime schedule meaning that the UK was served a portion of hard house morning, noon and night!
