We asked Matt what he has been up to lately and gave the word freely to him.
Here's what he says:

After such a long time out its been a real buzz to get back in the studio and start making records again. I spent a few weeks last year mixing "Shine On/Moody/Electrobuzz" but this year I've been in the studio since Febuary. Since then i have been writing and producing new material and revamping some of my older tunes previously recorded under aliases. First up is a track called "Gamemaster" by "Lost Tribe".This was one of my earliar club anthems originally released on Hooj Tunes along with the breakbeat tunes "Angel"and"Under The Red Sea. With the new mix of Gamemaster i have kept all my favourite elements on the original mix and brought it up to date in its production and arrangement. Also look out for new versions of Angel and Under The Red Sea which i will be recording over the next couple of months. All three tracks will form part of a "Lost Tribe 2003 EP"along with various other remixers interpretations of Gamemaster.This will be released towards the end of the year on "Liquid Asset" (The guys who released "Matt Darey Pres DSP-From Russia With Love").

Next up is the new "Matt Darey feat Marcella Woods" single called "Voice of An Angel". To me this feels like the real follow up to "Beautiful". I was under a lot of pressure to release a record with Marcella last year,the product of which was Shine On.......A record that i was never really happy with cause it was too poppy......hence it was released with the two club tracks Moody and Electrobuzz to keep myself and the clubbers happy". Im really happy with "Voice Of An Angel" which has been going down a storm in my DJ sets
and now theres a very limited number of promo's out there.

On the flipside of this is a bit of a corker, an instrumental moody but uplifting trancer called "Nocturnal Delight" which again has been causing a bit of a stir in my sets already supported by Tall Paul,Tiesto, Armin, Scott Bond, JFK, Lange, Pulsar, Solarstone, Graham Gold, Agnelli and Nelson.....only a very limited number of CDR's available at the moment.

One of the first tracks i ever released and probably one of my best was "Li Kwan -Point Zero" not many people knew that it was me because i used the producer alias Paul Austin for various legal reasons. First time round it was a huge favourite of Dj's such as Pete Tong and Paul Oakenfold. I've wanted to redo this record for a long time. The original was ahead of its time and still gets plays today from the likes of Oakenfold and Armin Van Buren....in fact Oakey has just done a bootleg version called "Trance of a
lifetime" which he keeps exclusive to his sets(I hope!!) I've only just finished it now so I'll let you be the judge of whether it matches up to the original.....Im hoping to get another big trance remixer on this aswell....watch this space!!....only one exclusive copy out there with Oakenfold.

Other tracks coming soon from me are "Intoxicate/New Begining" . A colaboration with Danny Kirsh (The guy who wrote the opera song with Darren Tate) which started as an instrumental exclusive to my sets and now theres a vocal mix(coming soon)....hence the two titles.

There's loads more tunes on the way which I've demo'd and signed.....check out the new releases in the Discography section on my website to hear whats new. Obviously I can't use my name on everything I do right now cause theres so much stuff and there'd be a bit of a name clash!! Im in the process of polishing them up ready for release so keep your eyes peeled kids!!
