Greg Murray puts in his latest track I Feel Loved which came out on Platipus earlier this week and has been a big track for the trance jocks around, showing that his style is still hot on the speakers.
The latest to come from UK trance producer Greg Murray is I Feel Loved, a track fit for the pounding melodic likes of Paul van Dyk to the more uplifting gurus such as Ferry Corsten.
Tracklist:
A1. Instrumental B1. Vocal Mix
This track starts of in the usual trance mode; the bubbly, building production for the first minute or two, which gives you no indication of what to expect until the one and half minute mark when the gorgeous female vocal oozes through with the main line I Feel Loved...
Nothing much else happens for the next minute or so as the track puts you in a gyrating mood with its mesmerizing bassline and pulsating beats across various instrumental elements - and before long, the main break comes through with its overture of synths and airpads without coming across as being cheesy uplifting trance.
If you were expecting a fast climax, you are mistaken as the one or so minutes needed to explode into the main melody is undauntingly agonizing in the sense that you're waiting to jump in the air, but you're still waiting for the spring to come along.
Before listening to this track I was expecting a big ass uplifting monster, but was surprised to hear that Greg has kept to his originality which is undeniably pronounced through his various other productions.
The long buildup, chilling strings, dynamic melodies, and sleek vocals make this one easily likeable, with all the trademark Greg Murray elements, which make him one of the most in demand producers and remixers in the circuit at present.
This could fit in as a nice buildup track in a Paul van Dyk set, or even as a closer for an Armin van Buuren set.
Conclusion:
Perfectly enjoyable in a club or at home, this release may not be Greg's best work, but it is by no means bad at all. The production itself is top notch, and the originality is there, so props to Greg for I Feel Loved
