To be released 15th September, Tony Burt & Mat Silver team up yet again to bring us this massive stormer!
01. Mat Silver Vs Tony Burt - Ultimate Wave (B.Beach Breaks Mix)
I am very fond of Break beat tracks for introductory tunes in DJ sets, and I believe this track would be perfect for starting off any set. It cleverly keeps the feel of the Original, but has a much calmer feel to it. The breakdown is very melodic, and when the track kicks in there is a nice contrast of break beats and a slightly more dark melody. The bassline is quite heavier than one might expect from a break beat track, but it accompanies the 'relaxed' melody nicely.
02. Mat Silver Vs Tony Burt - Ultimate Wave (Alphazone Remix)
From the guys that brought you the legendary spring/summer hit Saltwater - The Legacy. This remix may not be as hard as some of their previous productions, but certainly has that typical 'Alphazone' high paced and driving beat that we've learned to love. The intro has a very distinctive drum roll to get things going, and the kick is quite unique. As the track progresses, it becomes very much more uplifting only to be greeted by an even more uplifting and melodic breakdown. As the track kicks in, we are still treated to this very uplifting melody, but now has a very powerful beat driving it. Personally, this track to me has a classic 'V-One (aka Airwave)' feel to it, and trust me... that’s a good thing!
03. Mat Silver Vs Tony Burt - Ultimate Wave (Airbase Remix)
A much more laid back version of the original. A very gentle bassline, with a much softer synth. It certainly keeps that very powerful uplifting feel to the Original though! The melody is again very uplifting and very 'catchy.' During the breakdown, I get the feeling of a very classical 'Rank 1' type sound. Great remix, that I am sure will have much success.
04. Mat Silver Vs Tony Burt - Ultimate Wave (Original Trance Mix)
A very powerful and fast paced trancer here, which is really what we have come to expect from these guys. Straight from the beginning the track explodes with a powerful bassline and a nice kick. During the breakdown it fades out very calmly, and then fades back in the same way. Definitely hands in the air material if you were dancing to this in a club. Shortly after it kicks in very loud with a drum roll, and we are greeted with a very uplifting melody. The second breakdown, as with most trance tracks, is much more energetic, and very quickly the track kicks in again, and the melody takes us all the way through to the outro. If you are a fan of Mat Silver and Tony Burt you will like this!
05. Mat Silver Vs Tony Burt - Ultimate Wave (Video Edit)
Simply an Edited version of the Original, with one breakdown instead of two.
Conclusion:
Released on Above the Sky Records, September 15th. If your a fan of slightly harder Trance, then this is for you!
