Selective SAW.RECORDINGS singles including Stephen K, Meat Katie, Lexicon Avenue, Madam, and many of your past favorites. It also includes unreleased but soon to come singles like Echomen "Cure" and a single from newcomers Blue Haze. Mixed by Satoshi Tomiie and Hector Romero. Read on.
A tour for both Romero and Tomiie is in the planning stages to promote Undulation.
01. Medway & Sean Cusick "Sketch": Medway's new single together with Sean Cusick starts with a driving deep bass, covered with soft layers, nice groove! This is getting dark! warm atmosphere delivered by sweet melodies and huge strings in the background.
02. Blue Haze "Rumble Funk' vs. Bipath "Paranoize": Unreleased promo from one of the most talented producers around, Blue Haze. Magical and gentle feel, quality transformers which take you into a journey with a massive vocal all together!
03. Missy ZeZe & Presslaboys "E.F.X (European Fusion X-perience)": Might be the weirdest track on this compilation. Tech rhythm, with dark motion sounds.
04. Cass - Kanjin vs. Madam "Penetration": Need something hard and driving to really get that room sweaty? Well "Kenjin" is the answer. "Kenjin" is fueled with sheer attitude and delivers a fierce ride. Cass yielding one aggressive yet blissful re-working.
05. Madam "Penetration" [Madam vs. Bipath Flipped Dub]: Ahhh this one is insane! Growing like a monster, breakdowns and buildups covered with dark sounds. A dance floor cracker!
06. Subway Baby "Tribes of Khan Gala" [DJ Gogo Remix]: The latest creation from Swedish team known as Subway Baby… "The Tribes of Kahn Gala" is the next release a dark edgy piece. After watching this record blow-up time after time we decided to unleash it just in time for Spring. So here it is in your hands "The Tribes of Kahn Gala". The A side is a powerful remix from Switzerland's Q club resident DJ Gogo. Gogo has produced for CYBER, both solo and along side DJ Nukem as well as an EP on Hooj Choons and countless remixes on other labels around the world.
07. Lexicon Avenue "Why R U Here" [The Hard Mix]: The famous piece from the great Lexicon Avenue, getting powerful with the hard mix. hypnotic, deep, vocals.
08. Stephan K. "Numb" [Meat Katie Remix] vs. Meat Katie "K-Hole vs. Lexicon Avenue "Why R U Here" [Acapella]: Meat Katie remix for the mint piece from Stephan K. "Numb" got a bootleg with Meat Katie's tight, attitude packed drums and raw break-beat edge. This record was made for prime time, engineered with the sole purpose of rocking a dance floor. "K-hole's" build up releases enough energy to turn any mellow clubbers into screaming party animals. So be careful you might just create an all out frenzy.
09. Lexicon Avenue "Why R U Here" [The House Heads Mix]: Progressive beats, a different character! "a different drummer"! A dark treatment! for the late-night hours.
10. Satoshi Tomiie pres. ICE - "Scandal In New York" [Undulation Version]: Satoshi's last single, presentings ICE (Stormer, the guitar player and Aja, the keyboard player, are also producer/writers). Guest vocalist UTA DARE (no! not a drag queen) a fashion queen and ICE friend, joined the party for a guest performance that will never be forgotten. Put the needle on the record, turn up volume, or push play on your cd. Move over Hilton sisters; there is a new bitch in town!
11. Rob Rives "Let yourself Go": Chill and funky rhythm, male vocals by Rob Rives in the background. Sweet piano is coming up, a top notch! calmly effects, crashes and swishes a pleasure for the progressive addicts among us.
12. Echomen - Cure [Undulation Version]: On the heals of the exciting Cass single and the Presslab Boys SAW.RECORDINGS gives you the follow-up to "Perpetual" by British band Echomen. If you are saying to yourself what is Perpetual? SHAME ON YOU! Who is Echomen? Simple, it is the combined talents of Chris Scott, Anton Fielding and Lyricist/ vocalist Graeme "Cheb" Stewart. Echomen are so talented that their sound is fresh and familiar at the same time. "CURE" is the perfect follow-up to "Perpetual" and is perfect for Dance clubs as well as college radio. This hypnotic song will haunt you in the supermarket and shower but is destine to win your heart.
Conclusion:
SAW.RECORDINGS keep impressing us on the progressive scene with thier own unique dark style. Well done mixed by the masters Tomiie and Romero. Nice to see such a great label releasing thier first mix compilation. Good luck with the upcoming Undulation 2!
