The label 2 play (a division of the successful 'Spinnin Records') is back in play... This release featuring two very different remixes of quality Trance production...
The Mystery Remix
This remix doesn't waste any time, it goes straight into a strong sounding production with a nice bassline accompanied with the usual trance type percussion. The synths in the initial breakdown are very soothing, playing a soft gentle melody that slowly starts to get louder and more prominent, percussion is introduced just before the beat and bass line come in again to form a very nice build-up. The second breakdown introduces more soothing synths before building up yet again the that full uplifting Trance sound. There's not a lot of variation in the main melody but combined with those nice soothing synths forms a nice uplifting sound.
The Freak Remix
This has a substantially harder beat than the mystery remix. This builds into something quite unique and certainly different than the other remix. There's some very interesting percussion and effects which I would say were an unusual aspect to this production which gives relevance to the name 'Freak' remix. A very different remix probably appealing to those who like to hear something a little different but still quite hard.
Conclusion:
The Freak Remix really is quite unusual, in a good way! The Mystery Remix really is a fantastic production. I expect this to be picked up by all the big Trance names around.
