Armin Van Buuren Finishes 3rd in the DJ Magazine Poll

© copyright @ i:Vibes Yesterday evening the renowned British DJ Magazine revealed this year’s Top 100 DJ poll. ARMIN VAN BUUREN comes in at 3rd place from being voted the no. 5 DJ in the world in last year’s EDITION OF THE single globally respected DJ poll.

For Armin, born in 1976, music has been the passion of his life. His DJ career takes off when he starts spinning the wheels in a club in Leiden, the town where he starts law school in 1995. During his studies he continues to develop his musical talents, which results in hits as ‘Blue Fear’, ‘Touch Me’ and ‘Communication’. These records storm into the charts and this signifies the lift off of his international producer/DJ career. In 1999 he teams up with David Lewis of DLP (former agent of Tiësto and Ferry Corsten) who introduces him to the top of the global club scene.

Armin has travelled the world and has set-up a network of residencies with various top clubs like Godskitchen (UK), Asta (NL), Spundae (USA), Glow (USA), Guvernment (Canada) and Passion (UK). The last couple of years he also headlined events like Global Gathering (UK), Sensation (NL), Dancevalley (NL), Two Tribes (Australia) and Bal en Blanc (Canada). In June this year he started his own management, publishing and record company ARMADA MUSIC. In addition to this, he has collaborated with artists such as Ray Wilson (Genesis), Krezip, Tiësto and Victoria Horn (she recently received a Grammy Award for the hit release ‘Days Go By’). Moreover, Armin has been creating successful compilation albums and his re-mixes are in constant demand by various artists/labels. Every Thursday evening Armin hosts the successful radio show ‘A State of Trance’ on ID&T Radio. Due to airing on the internet his show is well-known among clubbers around the world and it takes the lead as the no. 1 best listened trance radio show in the world.

For Armin some of the highlights of the year were his graduation from law school and the founding of his company Armada Music. Last month he just finished a very successful tour headlining fourteen of the best clubs in North-America. To top it off he released his first artist album ´76´ and his brand new compilation album ´Universal Religion´.

The international recognition of his DJ / producer talent with being voted the no. 3 DJ in the world is without a doubt the climax of the year!
