Finger Lickin’ decided to go all out with this release. So they draft breakbeat remixer Lee Coombs to help craft a vocal and a dub mix. Lee Coombs says both mixes guarantee something for everyone and he is right….Read on for the full review of Part 2.
Part 2 – Lee Coombs Vocal/Lee Coombs Dub
Lee Coombs has been around for a while and his productions for people like new order and others have cemented him as an in demand remixer. Smart choice for whoever decided to add his remixes because they make the track even better.
Lee Coombs’s Vocal Mix is great for vocal breakbeat fans. I’m not a big fan of the Gary Numan vocal but I will say that the driving beats for the track make it just addictive, whether you like the sample or not. Lee Coombs has made a huge fan out of me by making a vocal that most people don’t like and making you just love the song. Hats off to him.
Lee Coombs’s Dub Mix is even better than the vocal mix. He just adds enough of the vocal to make you love it. He tweaks the track but has just the right amount of the vocal and I love this track because of that. You just have the refrain and that just totally makes me want to get up off my chair and dance (I did that). People will love this track because it just uses enough of the vocal to make it sound incredible.
Conclusion:
Verdict – This is truly a track that can fit into just about any type of set and the hook is addictive. 10/10
