An interesting artistname, an interesting trackname and an interesting picture on the vinyl of this white label production complement the fact that this is a very interesting track. Interested? Read on...
Tres Ratones Ciegos - Spanish for Three Blind Mice (see picture) - presents this rather unique record. It has its own basic beat, percussion and bassline, but it borrows sections and samples from other well known tracks to make up a completely new track in its own right.
:: Tres Ratones Ciegos :: White LTD Promo :: 0665131
Picture Side The track starts with an ambient sample from another unidentified track with a male vocal and piano. This then breaks straight into a strong beat, percussion and bassline driven loop which is the main foundation of the track. It is similar to a Marco V kind of sound. A variation of this is created by using a ring modulated effect, and it is shortly after this that you hear something familiar - Members Of Mayday's 10 In 1! You're not given any recovery period because immediately after this there is a break which consists of the main hook from Joy Kitikonti's popular Joyenergizer! A short beaty section later, the tune breaks down, and the breakdown consists of none other than the popular Ayla, by Ayla! Again you're given no rest from these classics because after a rather creative and well created transition, the track jumps back into life with Gamemaster by Lost Witness! After this a nice mixup of Joyenergizer and 10 In 1 follows and then the inevitable wind down ensues.
White Side The track on this side of the vinyl is exactly the same as the one found on the Picture Side, except that it starts straight into the track with beats and percussion instead of using the ambient piano with male vocal sample.
Heh, this had to be included - ah well, it amused me...
Conclusion:
A really good mash-up of some of the most popular tunes in trance history with its own tech trance driven foundation. This track is a breath of fresh air and should bring a smile to any trance lovers face.
