The journey starts with 'Dayturn,' a very chilled and mellow track. It very slowly fades in, and is greeted with a bassline and melody that are both very soft and relaxed. The track slowly progresses, and at only 3 minutes and 49 seconds makes this a perfect introduction to the album.

We are very quickly taken to the second track on the album, that is the all time classic 'Epic Monolith.' Originally produced in 1999, and released in 2001, this beauty of a track found its way into many of the greatest DJ's record bags in the world, such as Paul van Dyk, Armin Van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, etc. As well as this, it also found its way onto some of the most acknowledged compilations of all time such as Paul van Dyk's - The Politics Of Dancing. Unlike the vinyl release on Xtravaganza, the intro on this album is extended. It starts off just like 'Dayturn' does with a melody that gradually fades in. Very soon come the break beats, and after 32 beats the track gets going. For me it is at this point that the album has officially started, for you can tell things are only going to get better and better. It is most likely we will never again here a breakdown as euphoric and uplifting as that of Epic Monolith. The kick, the bassline and the melody all come together superbly. Epic Monolith is definitely one of the highlights on the album.

The third track on the album has a much darker feel to it. Just like the track name; Metatalk, the melody has a very strange and depressing feel to it. But as we approach further into the track, we hear some much higher and uplifting notes, bringing the sadness of the track, a sense of hope and happiness. Having never heard this side of Mirco De Govia before, you can't help but appreciate his creativity and will to experiment.

Next we come to one of the more uplifting tracks on the album, Aura Indigo. It has a typical Mirco De Govia bassline to it, very smooth but still pumping. Before the track kicks in, Aura Indigo becomes very euphoric all of a sudden, and is combined with a short session of break beats before being taken into a soft drum roll. As the track kicks in, we are overcome with a very powerful and uplifting melody layered with Mirco De Govia's awesome uplifting synths and kick!

Now onto track 5, Mirco de Govia - Voller Sterne, and the album once again takes a turn from uplifting, to a more relaxed and slower pace. The melody is very calm and the synths are very soothing.

Track 6 on the album is Drive In The Ocean, and the track is made up of a very hard and dominating kick, and a very strange but effective piano line that occurs every 16th beat. Before the track kicks in the melody, like with most Mirco de Govia melodies, becomes very Euphoric, and right before the bassline comes in we hear the vocals "Drive In The Ocean." The driving bassline and uplifting melody make this a very high paced and energetic track that would gladly be welcomed in any peak time set, and would without a doubt destroy the dance floor.

Starting very melodic, the soothing intro of Things That Matter begins to build. This track may be remembered well from 1999 where a very short sample of it first appeared on a Blank & Jones Compilation. Finally though, we now get to hear it in full, and this is personally my favourite track on the album. The breakdown is full of emotion, uplifting in everyway. The drum roll, the melody, the synths all come together beautifully, and when the track kicks in with the typical Mirco de Govia bassline, it's just pure bliss. The second breakdown is even more euphoric and driving than the first. Mirco de Govia clearly at his best!

Next we come to Mirco De Govia - Wearing The Fear. This is certainly not the kind of style you've come to expect from Mirco de Govia. Wearing The Fear is much darker, and kind of progressive. The bassline is less smooth, and the track combines break beats with a very slow melody. I find the track quite regressive, but totalling only 5 minutes and 59 seconds, it definitely does not become repetitive.

Yet another chilled track on the album, Time Travel, which offers a very Asian sounding instrument with a gentle melody. There isn't really a kick at all to this track. It's just very peaceful and soothing, with synths nicely placed that somewhat reminds me of wildlife. This is also a very short track on the album at only 3 minutes 51 seconds.

Now we come to a track that really is quite unique, Mirco de Govia - Mindspring. If you listen from start to finish the track takes you on a journey. If you skim through it you'll miss it! It starts slowly but picks up in pace quite quickly as we are taken to the breakdown. Again, the track returns to slow like state again, very euphoric and uplifting, but just like in the previous section of the track, it starts to quickly build again. As it kicks in, out of nowhere comes a superb sounding instrument quite highly pitched, and awesomely combined with the melody. This instrument is accompanied all the way through to the outro. Beautiful track!

As we now approach the end of the album, the title of the track 'Final Emotion' is really quite fitting. With only one more track to go, it's like this track really does represent Mirco de Govia's final emotion before we come to an end. It is an uplifting stormer with a very nice piano line and a heavy bassline. This has definitely got to be one of the most acknowledged tracks of the album, with its many appearances in clubs all over, from some of the most respected DJ's in the world. This is a perfect finish to the last section of the album.

For me the album really does finish at Final Emotion, but the very last track on the album is a very short and chilled track just to bring the album to a gentle finish. It's by a long way the shortest track on the album at only 2 minutes and 8 seconds, and a nice wind down track to conclude this wonderful album.

Some of the most respected artists out there have had some very wonderful things to say about this album. A few are listed below:

Ferry Corsten: "Always Great!! Keep it up!"
Paul van Dyk: "Feature and interview in my German radio show and worldwide plays."
Darren Tate: "Very uplifting. Getting great reactions!"
Jono Grant: "Can I just say this is one of the most beautiful records I've heard in ages! The breakdown of 'Final Emotion' sends shivers down my spine and is so uplifting. Please pass on my respect to the man himself. 10/10."

Conclusion:
With a variation of uplifting stormers, a couple of darker trancers, and a few chilled tracks, the album really does offer. As well as this, it comes with an absolutely stunning Bonus CD compiled of some of Mirco de Govia's finest and rarest ever remixes, that really does make this album truly that extra bit special. There is no doubt at all that this album will be welcomed warmly by fans of trance.
