Hailed as a truly massive record by many A list deejays. Find out what the hype is all about!.
J.D.S Blackout/Don't Be Alone (feat Valerie M) Cat No: Renn3080. Released: December/Jan
Very rarely these days do you get a genuine Double A Side. Especially one that includes superb, original vocals. THIS IS A BIG RELEASE FOR TCR. It's the first ever breaks tune to get played 3 times in one evening on Radio 1. Seb Fontaine played Blackout, Judge Jules played Don't Be Alone and Phil Hartnoll played it live at the Essential Weekender.
Huge acid funkathon with a breakdown that will have 'em climbing the walls Sir? May we suggest 'Blackout'. Or if you fancy a Kosheenesque vocal blinder that screams 'class' then plump for 'Don't Be Alone'.
J.D.S. will be known to many of you as the guys behind the huge chart-bound 'Nine Ways' on FFRR a couple of years ago. They are back with a vengeance.
Rather than give you loads of label bullshit about the tune here's a few early reactions from some key people:
'Brilliant! And very strong. Nice one again!' LAURENT GARNIER '10/10. Both too Good for Double A-Side! JDS do the best breakdowns ever!' NORMAN COOK 'Big Fuckin' tune, straight into my bag and onto the decks' DJ ICEY 'Absolutely Fuckin' Rockin' it' KRAFTY KUTS 'Contender for breakdown of the year' FREQ NASTY 'Stupidly Massive' JAMES ZABIELA 'Fuckin' Blindin' SOUL OF MAN 'Biggest reaction at Agatha to a tune in 7 years' ANDREA LAI 'Absolutely Massive Tune' FUTURE FUNK SQUAD 'As subtle as a brick to the back of the head and just as deadly' HYPER Huge mighty breaks track reminiscent of Koma & Bones' mix of 'Hide U' ALI B 'One of the biggest crowd pleasers of the year' KOMA&BONES 'Striking tough beats with a breakdown that grabs your nuts + shakes -stunning' Atomic Hooligan 'If I had hairs on the back of my neck, they would be standing up' RENNIE PILGREM
