A cheeky mix of commercial trance and Kylie Minogue! So With the pint sized bum with eyes on board is this a good track or what, can Kylie (Although not officially I have to add) follow the foot steps of Baby sis………Read on Eager trance lovers!
Original Version 135bpm
Well a white label trancer with Kylie sounds like a dream to me, the silky vocals and the uplifting riff. A match made in heaven right????? Errrr No. This artist who did this remains unknown and maybe for good cause, it’s very cheesy in nature for me, but then again it’s been a big success in terms of sales. (Maybe the Kylie Fallout, which is most probably what was planned) It follows the lines of Flip ‘n’ Fill productions, very commercial. Light and fluffy, what I call Bubblegum Trance. Lets hope the bubble bursts quick on this one. With Kylie’s vocals the track isn’t too bad, for a vocal piece, with the vocal samples in the build, especially, sounding nice. But the sequences are very samey and a little too cheesy for me, with a distinct lack of production quality, sounding very pop/trance clichéd (Pop trying to be trance) and the build bass/key changes sound way off the mark, removing all the flow and stunting the track. Probably the most annoying thing here is that the Kylie vocals don’t quite fit in with the trance track on the second or third chorus lines, sounding to fast. To be honest, this song could have been sung by Kelly Llorenna! That way I wouldn’t have touched it with a Barge pole!! As it is, it’s Charlene from Neighbours, oh and that Bum!! Hands off Justin!!
Conclusion:
Overall
A very samey, pop trancer (Trancer used loosely), in the mould of Flip N Fill, Milk Inc or Ultrabeat. Kylie’s vocals are good (as always) but the mix doesn’t quite work and soon you’d just be begging the dj to turn it off!! Hey but I guarantee the girls in the club will love it!
