Ben Lost will be flying over to Amsterdam for a special guest mix on Armin Van Buuren's A State of Trance show on ID&T radio on Thursday 5th February. Meanwhile, he has just completed work mixing the new 'Exhibition 2' Lost Language compilation which follows on from the popular first album. The second album is set for release on Lost Language in the UK and on Velocity in the USA very soon. Ben has also teamed up with Anjuna Beats Label Manager James Grant to present 'The Runa Sessions' on Ministry of Sound Radio on fourth Tuesday of the month 8-10pm so be sure to tune in!
Goldenscan's Close To Home mix of 'Faraway Project - Without Fear' has received massive global support since its release last month placing very highly on the charts of Armin Van Buuren, Scott Bond, Matt Hardwick and John Askew to name but a few. With 3 more remixes and 2 amazing Goldenscan productions set for release in the coming months 2004 looks like being a massive year for Goldenscan.
In the DJ booth you can catch Goldenscan at Chocolate Soup in Middlesbrough on 7th February and at Distortion in Leeds on 13th February to be broadcast live across the Galaxy FM Network in UK. They will also be providing a guest mix and interview for Paul Kershaw's 'Solid State' show on Galaxy on 28th February in promotion for the forthcoming Tranceairwaves 'Global Soundscapes' compilation mixed by Ben Lost and Goldenscan, due for release in late February. Keep watching for soon to be announced Goldenscan dates in Germany, Finland and Holland amongst others!
Passion resident and TRR owner Andy Bagguley was featured in this months Mixmag tipped as 'This Years Hot New Trancer' and 'This Years Hot Breakthrough Artist' again receiving massive support from the likes of Judge Jules. His new track titled 'Oracle - Aries' also featured highly in the trance reviews in the same magazine. After rocking Passion twice to over 2500 clubbers over the New Year Andy is now looking forward to bookings including Serious, Goodgreef and Passion in the coming weeks along with International options.
After taking a decision to spend more time focusing on production in 2004, DJ Elusive has made a great start to the year having completed three new productions and remixes including the new 'Elusive & Espen - Mysticold' track and also remix work for Armada and Platipus Records.
February will see Elusive headline Myth - one of the most talked about trance events in Norway in recent years along with In Trance We Trust artist Lars Holte on 7th February as well as accepting residency at the new Deeper Shades concept in Oslo.
Elusive will be undertaking his first tour of USA in March and April! Part 1 of the tour will take place between 3rd - 14th March including dates in New York and Miami with the second part 8th - 18th April. There are still a couple of select dates available and interested US and Canadian clubs should email rich@nu-star.net with any potential options as soon as possible.
DJ Precision will be making his first trip to Hong Kong on 14th February to headline at the Sun Hung Kei Center! Meanwhile, Dutch fans can catch Precision B2B with Misja Helsloot at his brand new club event 'First Sessions' on 6th February. In the studio Precision is working on a remix for Jaron Inc (Robert Gitelman and Jaron Martinez) for release soon on ID&T.
Fantastic news this month for Mark Norman fans! The Dutch duo are set to mix the next compilation in the legendary In Trance We Trust series on Black Hole Recordings! They will also be headlining the massive Trance Energy Festival in Utrecht to over 30'000 clubbers on January 31st and add to this various dates in Holland and a UK debut at the legendary Passion Birthday on 28th February and it is easy to see why these guys are two of the most talked about DJs at the moment!
In the studio Mark Norman have been extremely busy completing remix work for the new Smith & Pledger track 'Forever' set for release on Anjuna Beats and also Joop - Sonsuz (Mark Norman remix) soon to be out on ID&T as well as starting remix work for the new Blank & Jones track! Also keep your eyes open for the new Mark Norman solo production 'Rush' soon to be out on Magik Muzik!
Mr Sam has again delivered the goods in the studio, this time for Paul Van Dyk's Vandit and Armin's Armada Labels. Return to Innocence (Mr Sam's Tears in Heaven Remix) will be out on Vandit on 12th February with the Mr Sam remixes of 'Red Karma Feat. Tom Wolff - From One to Another & Dying to Survive' due soon after. Mr Sam is soon to make a special guest appearance on John Askew's Kiss FM show in the UK, so keep watching for further details!
James Cosgrove has just completed work on his first production; a collaboration with future talent George Hales named 'Distant Future'. In the DJ booth James will be making a guest appearance on Japanese DJ Tokunaga's massively popular Jet FM monthly 'Spin Session' in Japan on Saturday 21st February.
Scream resident Greg Downey will launch his new monthly show on Internet radio PureDJ.com on 28th February. Keep your eyes open for the first production from Greg; a collaboration with Belfast group D.A.S.K named 'Climate' which has received excellent feedback from limited promo CDs distributed.
