One of the more established labels out there bring us an update on anything & everything newsworthy! Read on for the full details!
OceanLab "Satellite" Update
We’re pleased to say that this track has been picked up variously around the world by BMG, Ultra, Sony, Bonnier Amigo, Euphonic so you can expect a full release around April time. Meanwhile a massive thank you the many up and coming producers who entered our Oceanlab remix competition. A whopping 1600 people downloaded the parts, with at least a quarter of that figure managing to submit a mix to the competition – very impressive.
Satellite continues to earn the support of A-list DJ’s like Armin Van Buuren, Dave Pearce and Judge Jules and keep ‘em peeled for a brand new Above & Beyond progressive mix set to emerge soon. There’s also a PA tour planned – coming soon to a club near you.
First solo single from Smith & Pledger: 'Forever'
Oliver Smith & Mark Pledger have been hailed by both Mixmag and DJ Magazine as the hottest new UK trance producers to emerge in 2003. A long list of remixes for labels like Lost Language and Ministry and a high-profile collaboration with Matt Hardwick have earned them a much-deserved seat at the top table of trance.
On their first solo release, “Forever”, Smith & Pledger cement their position as a Bedrock of the Anjunabeats stable, delivering an emotive and melodic offering that seems destined to grace many a turntable over the coming months. The package caters to both vocal tranceheads and instrumental purists, but vocal connoisseurs will note the discovery of a new talent in singer/songwriter, Carrie Skipper.
Anjunabeats unleashes two more monsters
Both early candidates for biggest instrumental trancers of 2004, chances are you’ve already strutted your stuff to Super 8 ‘Alba’ and Endre ‘Kallocain’ on the dancefloor in the last few weeks.
Both tracks have been heavily championed by Paul Van Dyk, Armin Van Buuren, Dave Pearce (6 consecutive plays of Super8 on his Radio 1 Dance Anthems show) and a host of other A-list DJ’s. Super8 will be released on Feb 23 and Endre on March 1.
.com crash
Apologies if you’ve been trying to reach us via email in the last few weeks and have received a bounce back. This has been caused by a hardware crash at our .com provider that has caused us to move providers for the .com domain name. Meantime, you can view the website at www.anjunabeats.co.uk and email us at our .co.uk addresses. We hope to have anjunabeats.com up and running again within 2 weeks.
Coming soon: Above & Beyond featuring Zoe Johnston ‘No One On Earth’
The package on this is coming together nicely, with remixes from Gabriel & Dresden and Smith & Pledger to add to Above & Beyond’s Original and Harder mixes. Promos should start to surface in around 4-6 weeks from now.
