Having already received massive support from Seb Fontaine, Annie Nightingale, Zane Lowe, Pete Tong, Fergie, Andi Durrant, Tall Paul and many others, it's time to give this latest House offering the treatment
1 - Deep Down Dirty Original Starting off with some fx, a funky bassline and very soon after a kick, we move forward and get advised by a voiceover of the dangers of things like drugs & cigarettes, and told not to do them, just fuck, interesting! The lead instrument in this case sounds like a stabby version of an electric guitar, kind of hard to explain until you hear a bit of I guess. Every now & then we're treated to something a bit different at the end of the bars, just to change the ideas a bit. As we approach the four minutes spot, we're moving slowly into a cool breakdown, including losing the kick and ending up with the bassline, and the lead & fx slightly changing to help give the feeling of the breakdown. The voiceover is here again, and we're back into the dirty bassline & advice, sure to be subliminal if you listened to it enough I guess... The last 2 minutes are typically used to allow the DJ to mix out too, as one effect after another goes at set stages until we just have the bassline filtering out and a couple of effects used to end it all.
2 - Naughty but Clean edit
Well this is identical to the original mix, just with less profanity, probably won't get played in clubs, but if you're looking after your 9 year old cousins, maybe the best mix to have played, though explaining the 'funny noises' where 'a word should be' could prove to be a dilemma!
3 Acapella
For sampling purposes, and for those who maybe want to make a remix of the track, here's your chance, full acapella!
Conclusion:
Not my personal cup of tea, but solid enough, and with the support already received from the a-list DJs, expect to see this featuring heavily for a while yet!
