 This year, the original live Electronic Music festival in Holland includes Maitreya, DJ Remy and others. Who,When and How Much? Read On
Another festival, you may not have heard of is happening later this year in Holland. You have all the big festivals (GKGG, TE, Dancevalley, Creamfields and others) but this is a festival that is live Electronic Music (E for Electronic and Live for Live Music hence the E-Live title). It is a different kind of festival but it has just live electronic music acts and no DJ sets. It is really worth a look because this year, Council of Nine's own Maitreya is doing a live set. Simon Lomax aka Maitreya has not done a live set in front of a crowd before but he looks at this as a chance to play new material and play in front of people. He will be joined by Kama Glover, who will do the visuals for the live set. It should be interesting because Kama Glover is the one who does the website for Council of Nine and the inhouse art work. If you remember their "Telluric Waves" CD and the artwork and the great music, this should be intertaining. The lineup also includes Holland's own DJ Remy, this year as well, so it should be very interesting.
The festival itself is run by Groove Unlimited (www.groove.nl), which are made up of Ron Boots and Kees Aerts who have done many E-Live festivals in the past, which included Biosphere, Paul McCartney and many other live acts. E-Live 2004 will take place on Saturday, October 9th 2004.
Again in the auditorium of the TU (Technical University) in Eindhoven, the Netherlands.
Performing artists are: Redshift, Grosskopf, Baltes, Heilhecker, Gert Emmens, Maitreya and Remy in the sub hall.
