The ever solid label Fundamental hit us here with the awesome follow up to Continental Chaos by A Force!! Another double 'a' side ensures that everyone is happy!!!
Atomic Outbreak For me this is a masterpiece!! This track although not initially sounding like a full-on track with the normal big breakdowns, IS a massive peak time monster!!! A solid kick gets the tune going with a selection of fx and percussion building up. A small break arrives and the track slams back in with a kick roll. Onto the main break and all goes quiet. Some very minimal pads float along before some breakbeat drums build up. A vocal snippet leads slowly into the massively infectious lead!! Simple, dirty but full of energy!! As another kick roll introduces the track back in, the energy is unleashed and the track just races along! After a period of this, we break to a simple kickand bass line till the percussion starts to build again, the drums, then the lead slams back in with everything perfectly in place. A truly great track!!
Gravitational Waves This track seems to be more towards the Euro trance sound more than Atomic Outbreak. Starting with a slid kick again, the tracks builds in almost a M.I.K.E. sounding way. A small break arrives, some pads then back in with the kick leading up to the main breakdown. For me, this track doesn't quite have the energy of AO, and the lead sound is not really my cup of tea. Nonetheless, there is still a great track here, which would also have any dancefloor rocking!
Conclusion:
For me, this is a massively understated tune!! On first listen it sounds good. Played on a big system, it is a contender for tune of the month...easily!!! Bags of energy make this a track you need to have!! Trust me...i've seen the dancefloor devastation first hand!!
