The famous techno DJ and producer Caspar Pound, alias The Hypnotist, has died. The founder of the successful “Rising High” label was responsible for, among others, world famous tracks like “My House Is Your House”.

Caspar Pound died from a brain tumour last Friday at the age of just 33. His label “Silver Planet” bid farewell with the following words:
“Friends, lovers, acquaintances, even rivals and others will undoubtedly remember him fondly for the person that he was - rude but wonderful. One could not help but love him. Caspar will continue to live through his music and in the hearts of people who were lucky enough to know him. May he rest in peace.”

We can only agree. The Hypnotist made his final appearance in Germany last year at Berlin’s Tresor. That will definitely have become a memorable gig for some of you now.
