Some interesting gobbets in here. Release date for Prodigys new album and some other bits and peices about whats going on...
The wait for the new Prodigy album “Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned” has reached the final stage (in the UK the release date has been set for 16 August) and more details on the new material from the Essex boys are slowly coming to light. For example, Hollywood star Juliette Lewis (star of Starsky & Hutch, Natural Born Killers and Cape Fear) has reportedly contributed vocals on one track.
UK weekly NME has even heard the album and describes it as “almost industrial in sound” and a “marked difference to Baby’s Got A Temper” (the band’s last single from 2002).
Prodigy frontman Liam Howlett on the new material: “We got eleven, possibly twelve fist in the air tracks. It sounds sinister, electronic, trashy, sexy and fresh to my ears.” Incidentally Howlett’s other half – Natalie Appleton (ex All Saints) – has also been busy. She posed for ‘Hello’ magazine with their son Ace — probably for a tidy sum.
