The full lineups for all of Meganite's events @ Priviledge, Ibiza are here. Read on for all the info you'll need..
A Brief History Of Meganite
Event and DJ Management company Meganite was launched at last years Miami Winter Music Conference with a sell out party headlined by Mauro Picotto and Marco Carola. There have now been fourteen Meganite events including residencies at Arc (New York), Ministry of Sound (London) and Space (Miami) with other events being held in acclaimed venues such as Redbox (Dublin), Kremlin (Amsterdam), Avalon (Hollywood), the jungle (Columbia – first promotion to do parties in the jungle!!) and The Arches (Glasgow). The Meganite DJs are Mauro Picotto, Gabry Fasano, Riccardo Ferri, Athos and Massimo Cominotto.
Meganite In Ibiza
The 10 week season at Privilege will showcase some Ibiza newcomers such as Misstress Barbara, Henrik B, Cari Lekebusch and of course the other resident Chris Liebing as well as see sets from Ibiza stars such as Mauro Picotto, Christian Smith and Fergie. Musically Meganite Ibiza will avoid the Ibiza cheese factor with a genre bending music policy of progressive, house, techno and electro in the “Theatre of Sound” whilst the Coco Loco crew play house in the bar area.
Privilege – Ibiza's best…
Privilege is officially the world’s biggest nightclub, if you don’t believe us then have a look in the Guinness Book of Records!! With a dance floor (complete with a swimming pool) the size of a football pitch and a maze like layout of different bars and dance areas this club is probably the most famous on the island. This summer sees the first Meganite parties on the white island with an 10 week residency at the legendary Privilege, past home of clubland brands such as Manumission, Renaissance and Balearic House From Ibiza. Privilege have come up with plans to specially redesign the venue for Meganite with changes including a new and exclusive stage for the event.
The Meganite crew has enlisted some of the best VJs in Europe and the décor will be unigue to the night. Creating a “Theatre of Sound” that will encapsulate the thousands of clubbers who will be attending this not to be missed event.

The Meganite DJs
Mauro Picotto – Having parted company with BXR Recordings in 2002 Mauro devoted the next couple of years to traveling the world playing to hundreds of thousands in the five continents. His first release on Alchemy was the stunning 4 tracker Alchemist EP (Summer 2003) which was caned by all the major players in clubland from Carl Cox, and Dave Clarke, through to Andy Farley, BK, through to Judge Jules and Dave Pearce. Now with another 2 twelve inches under his belt – “Playing Footsie/ Amazing” and the Taotek EP (both with Riccardo Ferri) Mauro is now working on completing his third artist album, follow up to the highly acclaimed The Others (2002).
Chris Liebing – Tipped for big things by the music press and the winner of the recent “ Best National DJ at the “German Dance Awards” beating the likes of Paul van Dyk, Sven Vath and Westbam it seems this man can do no wrong. His recent artist album “Evolution” received rave reviews and the releases on the CLR labels getting support from the all the right jocks in Europe. Chris has been Djing since 1991 building a massive fanbase in his native Germany and now one of the leading figures on the European techno scene.
Fergie – Leading Radio 1 jock and no stranger to the white island. Irish born Fergie is now one of the leading figures on the UK and European club circuit having first started Djing on the Belfast club circuit at the age of 14. If you don’t know the rest of the Fergie story – where have you been for the last 5 years??!?
Misstress Barbara – Misstress “Yes 4 S’s!!” Barbara shot to fame in 2003 with her unique blend of ”drummy funky pumpin’ techno” which has captivated clubbers around the world. Her releases on Relentless and now Iturnem have catapulted her into the premier league. This year sees Barbara launching her second label, which will have more of a house flavour.
Riccardo Ferri – Riccardo (aka Ricky Effe) made his name working at the Media Records studios where he caught the attention of Mauro Picotto who got him involved in nearly all the BXR releases. Having parted company with BXR at the same time as Mauro, Ricky Effe became Riccardo Ferri and took the show on the road. Now Riccardo has played live at some of the biggest events in Europe including Creamfields. Gatecrasher Summer Sound System and Hollands Mystery Land festival.
Gabry Fasano – Leading Italian techno jock Gabry Fasano is no newcomer to clubland having been resident at Italy’s leading techno club Jaiss Club in Florence. He has also worked with Mauro on numerous projects as well as many solo offerings. “Gabry has a very strong production and DJ style. I have played his records to tens of thousands of people around the world and the reaction is massive!”
Steve Rachmad – Dutch funky techno star has been a well-respected name on the dance scene since the pre acid house days. His productions have been released on acclaimed labels such as Music Man, Tresor, Underwater, Jericho and 100% Pure as well as his own imprints Scorp and Sterac Electronics. He is also a very established remixed having worked on tracks by the likes of Chris Liebing, The Advent and Kanzleramt.
Christian Smith – One of Carl Cox’s favourite DJs and a regular on the Terrace at Space it seems this man can do no wrong. He was behind the decks at the legendary Omen at the age of 17 and has since Djed around the globe. His unique blend of tuff house and tribal techno and his three deck mixing have made him a force to be reckoned with on the techno scene. His tunes have been released on labels such as Yoshitoshi, Nervous and Primevil until he set up his own Tronic imprint in the nineties.
Ben Sims - London based Ben became one of the leading figures on the techno scene through establishing his Therapy Recordings. He first got into Djing through his pirate radio shows in particular his involvement with London Atmosphere FM in the early nineties. In 1999 he was snapped up by the esteemed Berlin booking agency Dy-Na-Mix and he has since played around the glode
Cari Lekebush – Cari is one of the leading names in Swedish techno having been involved in the scene for many years. His Hybrid (now Lekebush Productions), Audio Polluter and Trainspotters Nightmare labels were all massive acclaimed underground labels in the 1990’s. Cari is currently working on his Grundtakt project, which will be a channel for more down tempo produtions.
