The latest Tracid Traxx release features a stunning hard trancer from Kai Tracid, well known for his Trance & Acid album, and also a remix from Monika Kruse.
The Tracklist:
Emmanuel Top - Mars (Monika Kruse Remix) Emmanuel Top - Mars (Kai Tracid Remix)
Emmanuel Top - Mars (Monika Kruse Remix)
This track starts and builds very slowly. The bass is pretty hammering, but overall the track is a bit to regressive. Tech-trance and Techno when kept basic and simple is often the best approach in my opinion, but this doesn't seem to be the case here. Although when pitched up, the track becomes far more exciting, overall quite a disappointing effort here from Monika Kruse.
Emmanuel Top - Mars (Kai Tracid Remix)
With not very many quality remixes to his name, and being in my opinion an artist more suited to his own productions rather remixes I really wasn't expecting much from Kai here. But I was sure to be proved wrong. The track is very basic, extremely techy, but superbly catchy and you just can't help but nod your head. The intro is very short and soon the bass completely disappears leaving the track with a very simple melody before what can only be described as a 'mahoosive!' drum roll that comes hammering in to get the track going. The kick is very hard, and the bass pounding; exactly what we've come to expect from Kai Tracid really. This one has had a lot of support from Paul van Dyk in his sets. With a real lack of melody and not much really going on at all, I would sum this track up as an awesome set filler.
Conclusion:
A real quality hard piece of tech-trance tunage here; a real exhilarating remix from Kai, that can be picked up from any decent record store right away.
