Factoria is a name that is fast emerging as one of the better new talents out there, and speaking of which, it seems only fair that another name of note, Octagen, has been chosen for the remix on this Armin Playlisted tune! Full Review First here!
Original Mix
Starting off with a very laid back ambience, we build nicely into the main kick & bassline/acid line that is synonymous with the newer wave of productions. A sub melody echoes in the background and helps lead us forwards to a dreamy vocal. This continues with a lovely string and piano, which sounds very delicate and glassy. What I like most here is how each level can be heard perfectly, no one element overpowers the other, and it leads for beautiful trance. Of all the new artists, I have to say that I enjoy the Factoria Productions, and this adds to me respect for him!
Octagen Mix
Paul Moelands makes another appearance here, and as one of the most in demand artists of the current time, attempts to show us why. The percussion work is cool sounding, and the bassline effective. The breakdown is gentle, and allows us to softly build up into a gorgeous sounding pad, ambient and sounding as delicate as crystal, it’s easy to see why both these tracks are being played by the usual suspects. A Standard but solid breakdown later, and as the kick rejoins us the track becomes it’s most powerful with a really good sounding lead coming in at the 5 minute mark to take us further onwards. Solid work yet again from Octagen.
Conclusion:
Two lovely takes on a track, and it's easy to see why the DJs are picking up both sides of this vinyl as both Factoria & Paul Moelands continue to impress everyone. Solid work indeed, and July 5th sees the full retail release, and I'd suggest getting hold of a copy!
