Not a new release but an awesome track played by DJ's such as DJ Cross and Marco V with a very powerful beat.
I first heard this track played back in October. DJ Cross played it on his Trance Energy Set. At the time I had no idea what this tune was. I didn't hear it again until I was at Innercity last weekend where Marco V played it, I could tell it was very popular as the crowd went wild after hearing it kick in. Once I was home from Innercity I scoured the internet to find the name of this track, then once found, I promptly placed an order for it on Juno. To my surprise it came the next day :)
System 7 is actually a band who have been producing since 1990 and have released 7 albums and a number of singles. They are mainly a Techno group who's tracks are made with guest collaborators.
Label: A-Wave
A1: Voyager Remix B1: Original Mix B2: Purples 24/7 Remix
A1: Voyager Remix This is the mix that everyone has been playing. Voyager have made a lot of changes to the original track. It actually sounds like a completely different tune! The main beat in the track is far from like any other normal track - it's like a constant pounding double beat. It's very distinctive and very powerful. This remix has vocals unlike the other mixes - the vocals consist of a conversation of what sounds like an air traffic controller possibily talking to some fighter pilot. The pilot spots a strange bright light and the controller is asking if he wants to report a UFO. Well thats my interpretation of it anyway. You're probably thinking it's very strange but it really is very effective and sounds great. After the conversation, the track builds up nicely, then it kicks off. At this point I can remember distinctively the crowd in the main arena of Innercity moving their bodies to this awesome track. It's hard to classify this as Trance or Techno as it is a bit of both and will probably interest people who are into both Genres.
B1: Original Mix The original hasn't got quite the same effect as the Voyager remix. It's a very housy track. It's got some interesting sound effects but it really isn't anything special. This is just an average track.
B2: Purples 24/7 Remix This remix is a lot slower than the original and is not very Trancy at all. It's kinda like a chilled out version of the original. Okay if you like that kind of thing...
Conclusion
The Voyager remix really is something. It's one of those tracks that really gets you going on the dancefloor. I highly recommend that you check this one out!
