Darren Tate's label has been busy of late, now they are going to release a few records in the next month, Which ones are they?
Here is a quick roundup of the next few corking releases from Darren Tate's Mondo label, described by HeatUK resident Ian Betts.
ADAM WHITE v HEMSTOCK & JENNINGS - REVERENCE (MND007) Out July 19th.2004
This tune has been doing the rounds for a while now and finally gets a much deserved full release. The creative brainchild of Euphoria resident/A&R man Adam White, this has been hammered by Tiesto at the startof his sets and one listen to the emotive opening bars will explain why. Taken from the film Gladiator, the evocative almost operatic vocal line gives a haunting beauty to the track whilst the crystal clean production that underpins it provides the drive and spine tingling euphoria. Mondo chief and trance production supremo Darren Tate provides the remix taking the track in a slightly different direction very much in keeping with his less commercial releases. Essential stuff and hopefully the first of many productions from Adam (keep an ear out for his next monster "White Room" already being caned by the likes of Above & Beyond and destined to be one of the biggest trance tunes of the summer!).
ATN - MISS A DAY / CROWDPUSHER (MND011) OUT JULY 12th.2004
Out of the F&W studios comes this massive, intense double header which has already been tearing up many a dancefloor for the likes of Jules, Dave Pearce, Matt Darey and even Eddie Halliwell! Miss A Day is a no frills euphoric trancer and whilst it won't win any awards for originality, it scores very highly on the hugeness-ometer! A simple yet effective lead line and solid arrangement make this track stand out, there's no bloated over production on show here :thumb: On the flip, Crowdpusher is a pulsating monster of a tune - no big breakdowns, no overblown riffs, just a simple effective driving trance stomper with bags of energy that slowly builds to a crescendoing peak that will catch the dancefloor unaware. Superb stuff.

ASTURA - ORION'S BELT (MND010) Out July 26.2004
When you start hearing guitar led hooks in trance you know it must be the summer! With a strong Balearic feel to it, this track from Switzerland's Andy Prinz has already made big waves among the European big boys and Mondo have drafted in CERN to beef up the release for the UK market with a trademark remix on the flip. While the Original utilises floaty pads, dream like chords and swirling melodies, the CERN remix goes for the jugular with it's massive soaring "Message" like synth lines, a rolling bassline and powerhouse beats. A solid release that will appeal to many a trance afficianado.
SLIP FRICTION - CRAZY (MND013) Out August 2004
An original track from the CERN stable that's a bit of a departure from their killer tune from earlier this year "The Message". Minimal and sparse with techy elements and a funky bassline thrown in for good measure, this track got one of the best reactions when I played it towards the end of my set at Amnesia :) Already an anthem with the Gods Kitchen crew, this crossover track incorporates elements from electro and house to create a dirtly uplifting trance hybrid that will do well on many dancefloors. Rockingly good.
