DJ Connections July Update

DJ Connections are proud to have couped a number of their roster to appear on two very special dates this month.

On July 19th Lange, The Thrillseekers & Smith & Pledger will all join Markus Schulz for a special edition of the legendary Global DJ Broadcast. Tune in over the GDJB webcast and prepare for Euphoria with the DJC titans.

If that's not enough then 4 days later (July 23rd) get yourself's down to Godskitchen for the ultimate in trance parties. The Thrillseekers make their long awaited Godskitchen debut along with Smith & Pledger and Birthday Boy Gareth Emery, who will be there celebrating his 24th Birthday in style. Also playing is some bloke called Armin Van Burren, never heard of him personally...... ;)

Above & Beyond remix 'Delerium - Silence'

It's not often you get the chance to remix one of the greatest vocal trance records ever and there was a fair amount of excitement when Nettwerk called Above & Beyond to weave their magic around this one..

Above & Beyond's Paavo Siljamaki said: %u201CIt's one of our all time favourite vocals and were very happy to be asked to remix it. We fully understand that there have already been some amazing remixes of this classic and it was a real challenge to take such an incredible vocal and try to do something different to what's already out there.%u201D

Above & Beyond road-tested the mix at Cream and Gatecrasher and the reaction was something special. We don't have any release info yet but you'll be the first to know as soon as we do.

Gareth Emery

Things have been somewhat hectic in the world of Gareth Emery of late. At the moment, Gaz is solidly locked in the studio working on new material. It's too early to give much away about the new tracks, but they include a vocal project that received a massive reaction at Slinky in April when Gaz tested it, a remix for up and coming UK label Motion: Echano - Nothing To Live, and a huge vocal mix for a major label that we'd love to tell you more about but can't - watch this space for more information.

On other music news, Paul van Dyk can't get enough of Gareth's material at the moment. The Gareth Emery mix of Digital Delinquents - Forever has featured heavily in his recent sets and is due for an imminent release on Equilibrium. He's also caning Gareth Emery & Jon O'Bir - Escapade, a track that's generated a massive amount of hype from just a couple of CDRs, and is due for general release on Five AM in August with a remix from CERN.

Message board launched -Be Sure to register as Gaz has added a message board to his website. He checks it regularly to reply to music chat and your queries.

Lange Recordings

Jas Van Houten - 'Loco Love' OUT NOW:

The 2nd release on 'LANGE RECORDINGS' is now available and has received huge support from the world's top trance Jocks. As well as the original 'Extended Mix', there is also a darker 'Firewall Remix' by Lange on the flipside, exclusive to the UK release on Lange recordings. Next up will be 'Sincere For You' by Lange feat. Kirsty Hawkshaw.

Smith & Pledger
Smith & Pledger - 'Believe'
The next single from Smith & Pledger on Anjunabeats recordings is called 'Believe' and will be available in September. It is the one of the first tunes the pair completed together and the release features both the classic Original mix which has been championed by Above & Beyond and the massive new 2004 Remix which looks set to be one of the tunes of the summer!

Remixes
Smith & Pledger have been busy notching up the remixes lately with several high-profile names to add to the list. Just out is their take on John '00' Fleming's ' I'm Not Fooled ' on Subversive recordings which has already seen support from the likes of Armin van Buuren.

Coming soon is the highly popular Smith & Pledger remix of Above & Beyond 'No One on Earth ' on Anjunabeats which features vocals from Faithless star Zoe Johnston .

For those of you who like it funky and laid-back a new house remix by Colourfast of the massive Smith & Pledger vs. Matt Hardwick - 'Connected' is available now through AnjunaDigital (www.anjunabeats.com).

Finally, hot out of the studio is the new Smith & Pledger remix of Deepest Blue's next single 'Shooting Star' . This one looks set to make some waves and will be out soon on Ministry of Sound/DATA recordings.

Upcoming releases:

- The Thrillseekers ‘Synaesthesia' with new remixes from Ferry Corsten, Pulser and Mesh. Also a re-edit of the original En-Motion mix. Due for release on 31 August 2004 on Adjusted Music.
- Rapid Eye ‘Absolut'. Rapid Eye is a collaboration between Steve and ATCR boss, Tim Stark. Absolut is Rapid Eye's 7th single and looks set to be their biggest release to date. Due for release in October on ATCR.
- Ferry Corsten ‘Sweet Sorrow (The Thrillseekers remix)'. Due for release late summer on Tsunami.
- Lange 'Sincere for You (Thrillseekers remix)'. Massive remix from Steve due for release in July on Lange Recordings.

- The Thrillseekers ‘NewLife' has already racked up 8 compilation appearances and airplay from all the major players, including Paul van Dyk, Judge Jules, Ferry Corsten, Armin van Buuren. Available on Adjusted Music.
- 8 Wonders 'The Morning After (The Thrillseekers remix)'. Big favourite with Tiesto, Armin and Ferry. Available now on Somatic Sense.

Other studio news:

- Steve is currently in the studio remixing Positiva's latest signing, Reflekt featuring Delline Bass 'Need to be Loved'. This is a collaboration between Jay P (One half of Stretch & Vern) and radio 1 DJ, Seb Fontaine.
