For the last couple of days, the Flutlicht website has undergone some maintenance in which most of the site's elements got a bit of a revamp. A new top 10 has been added as well, along with news on what is to come from Daniel.. Read on!
First of all, most of us are aware of the fact that Marco 'Reverb' Guardia has quit producing trance music for the time being. The Flutlicht and S.H.O.K.K. projects still exist, but at the moment this is mostly DJ-wise because both Daniel Heinzer (Flutlicht) and Claudio Pettanice (S.H.O.K.K.) are building up their studios.
A new biography has been posted as well on the Flutlicht site, containing something interesting:
"Flutlicht has developed his innovative style continuously and always will be. Currently Daniel is into a kind of a Techy-Breaks phase and this is likely to blaze a trail for future productions."
Daniel has been playing alot of Breaks in his current TranceAirWaves sets indeed. We probably can't expect a new Flutlicht production in the near future, but it looks like he's definitely going to pick it up again!
The best part is yet to come... Remember the rumours about a Flutlicht remix for Sumatra - 'Reincarnation' back in 2002? Seems like everything was true, because this baby is finally getting a full release on the Swiss Paradox Music label! Although the remix was made in January 2002, it is still up with today's standards, and will most likely cause some serious hype around the globe with it's typical Flutlicht percussion and massive main melody.
Full details:
Sumatra - Reincarnation (Paradox Music) Releasedate: August 2004 A1: Flutlicht Mix B1: Climax 69 Mix
And as a conclusion his current top 10, including some classics:
Timo Maas - Manga Sonic Animation - Freaky Highway Esa - Lola (Devilfish Remix) Fine Cut Dodies - Trekk Far (Elite Force Remix) Conjure One - Centre Of The Sun (Junkie XL Remix) The Crystal Method - Vapor Trail AFX - Analog Bubblebath 3 Sumatra - Reincarnation (Flutlicht Mix) Laurent Garnier - Crispy Bacon Aphex Twins - We Have Arrived (TTQ Mix)
