Our friends at Azuli gave us a copy to give away and that was the Jeff Mills Classics CD, who won and what were the answers to the questions?
The Winner is “The HIGHroller” Thanks to our friends at Azuli for his competition
The answers were the following
Jeff Mills’ latest CD was called Exhibitionist, which was released on his own Axis Recordings. It was also released as a DVD under the same name, out on React and Axis.
Question two was the stumbling block for most of you, I thought I made it easy because if you have ever read anything on Jeff Mills, he is usually linked with Mad Mike Banks and UR but never anything about Belleville. He went to a different high school anyway, the Belleville Three consisted of Derrick May, Juan Atkins and Kevin Saunderson. Juan was never in the same grade as May and Saunderson but his brother Aaron was and they went to school together and through Aaron, they became friends with Juan. The Belleville three is another fancy name for who started techno and that was May, Atkins and Saunderson.
Question 3 was an easy one (allmusic.com or discogs.com has the answers)
Frankie Knuckles Danny Tenaglia Francois K Tony Humphries Derrick Carter Lil Louis Vega
The review will be up shortly
