Our Friends @ Nukleuz have been busy as always, and they will soon be releasing a 2xCD, with 1 cd mixed by Ilogik and 1 unmixed for DJ use, as well as 2 samplers beforehand. Read on for it all!
This time the latest addition to the Nukleuz DJ agency, Illogik, steps up to the decks and mixes up the best classic and upfront Hard Beat tunes. Every track in the mix is re-edited, cut-up and scratched, showing the quality of the Hard Beat catalogue and Illogik’s own untouchable mixing skills.
The 2nd CD on the compilation features 10 full length tracks, which are available unmixed for the first time, perfect for the CD DJ’s and Hard Beat completists. Across the 2 CD’s tracks by BK, Andy Farley, Champion Burns, Defective Audio, Cortina, Rowland & Wright, Ali Wilson, Alex Calver, Daley, R.F.O. and Masmada make appearances making up the definitive guide to Hard Beat sound. Secondly Nukleuz are proud to unveil Hard Beat EP25, which collects together 4 of the strongest tracks the series has ever seen across two 12”s
Hard Beat EP25 Disc 1
A1) Ali Wilson & Matt Smallwood: ‘The Storm’ B1) Defective Audio: ‘Circular Saw 2004’
On the opening disc, Ali & Matt give us one of their toughest tracks to date which has already featured on the recent Frantic Euphoria compilation. On the flip Dom Sweeten takes his own Circular Saw and brings it bang up to date with a fearsome remix which is up there with his mix of BK’s ‘Please Fuck Me’ earlier this year.
Hard Beat EP25 Disc 2
A1) Defective Audio: ‘Execution’
B1) Ali Wilson & Greg Brookman: ‘Humanoid’
Disc 2 kicks off with the brand, spanking new ‘Execution’ - which has to be one of Dom’s most relentless tracks in a long while. Recently dropped by Justin Bourne at Hard House Academy and featured on the Frantic Euphoria compilation this track already has a reputation for dancefloor destruction. To finish off Ali Wilson teams up with Nukleuz’s new in-house producer Greg Brookman fusing Ali’s driving percussion and Greg’s trademark basslines and fx to create a storming hard house/techno mash-up.
