Yes, Altitude is back, Steve Gibbs much respected alias returns in November, but if you join the Five AM CD promo list, you can have it in the next few weeks! All news here...

Since the label's relaunch in early 2004, Five AM has gone from strength to strength. Now approaching their 27th release, in the last six months the UK based outfit have not only continued to release the storming club anthems they are best known for, but have also taken the exciting step of stamping their identify on club nights by running a number of sell-out Five AM parties, both in the UK and across the globe. And even better, they're on the prowl for new artists. Read on for more…

New music

The label's next release brings together a couple of old Bonzai favourites on one disc. Altitude – Sunray is a typically dark and moody offering from Altitude aka Steve Gibbs, with the same carefully crafted sounds and melodic elements that helped to make tracks like Altitude, Tears In The Rain and Marrakech such hits. With Airwave aka Laurent Veronnez weighing in with his trademark pounding kick drums and uplifting synths on the flip, this is a truly massive package from Five AM and one not to be missed.

Sunray will be released in November but if you don't feel like you can wait that long, check out www.fiveamrecords.co.uk/paidlist where you can join the label's exclusive CDR mailing list to receive your copy a month before any vinyls go on sale.

Global tour nights.

Five AM's global tour nights at top international clubs have fortified their reputation as one of the foremost trance labels not just in the UK, but in the world. Here are a selection of the Five AM nights that have taken place this year:

Ignition II Festival, Adelaide (Australia) with CERN
Union @ Plush, Vancouver (Canada) with Gareth Emery
Five AM meets Progress @ GAS, Sydney (Australia) with Gareth Emery
Five AM meets 5AM @ Room680, Melbourne (Australia) with Gareth Emery
Five AM boat party with Union, Vancouver (Canada) with Gareth Emery & Niklas Harding
Club Mad, Lausanne (Switzerland) with Gareth Emery & Binary Finary Live

Look out for a tour night featuring DJ sets and live performances from Five AM artists at a club near you soon. For more information on forthcoming events or to enquire about hosting a night, contact tours@fiveamrecords.co.uk.

On the prowl for talented artists

Are you a talented producer also keen to make in-roads into building a global DJ profile? Whilst it's getting increasingly easy to release a record, establishing an internationally recognised name for yourself as a DJ is more difficult, which is why all artists signed to Five AM will get the opportunity to DJ or play live on Five AM Global Tour nights. Label manager Alexis Hooper states: “We're looking to sign exceptional artists and provide the complete package, from productions right through to DJing and live dates”.

Whether you're an unsigned bedroom producer or an already successful artist with a new project, the label will give your tracks the same amount of attention: “We want original tracks, well produced material that does something different and stands out from the crowd: anyone with music fulfilling that criteria should get in touch as the potential rewards we can offer are massive”.
