Nukleuz are known for putting out quality releases for a long time. On Mixing duties this time are JFK Andy Whitby and Rob Tissera. Does it work ? Find out here!
CD1 Mixed by JFK
This disc is the trance offering from ex-passion resident JFK who is the kind of DJ people love or hate due to his set structure technique. This tracklist immediately sticks out to me with some tracks that just look in the ‘wrong’ place, for example having “No One On Earth” and “Barbers Adagio” on a cd with other tracks that are hard trance kinda sticks out like a sore thumb. None the less after a few listens I can say that although JFK does his best to try and carry the mix, the strange ordering counts against him at the end of the day. Best tracks on this one include those by Randy Katana, Dariush, Age of Love, Kindervater and the inclusion of a couple of classic Mauro Picotto tunes. Overall with so many tracks on one CD it ultimately needs a flow, and I honestly cannot hear one here, so good tunes aside sadly it has to rate at 4/10
CD2 Mixed by Rob Tissera
Rob is highly regarded amongst his peers and was one of a small number of DJs from his genres to play the Essential Mix on Radio 1 earlier this year. His mix is a high-energy one aimed for those who like their music hard & fast. Top tracks on this CD include the co-production between Steve Morley & Dave Holmes and the track from Guyver. The track that surprised me the most amongst these was the one from German duo Alphazone, but overall it fits ok and is a stronger offering than the last one. Maybe not to everyones taste but attaining a respectable 6/10
CD3 mixed by Andy Whitby
New kid on the block Andy tries his hardest to make the set that stands out the most, and in a way he does it with use of lots of acapellas including just Fuck and Music Is Moving which are both known tracks that the vocals are taken from to help things flow. A very strong start to the cd sees the timeless classic “Til Tears do us Part” followed by the awesome “What ya got 4 Me?” Later on we see the inclusion of Tony De Vit’s “I Don’t Care” which as everyone knows is one of the best tracks the late, great producer & dj made and one that is well known worldwide.
We progress with tracks from “Neon Lights” who are best known for in some peoples minds ‘messing’ with classic vocal trancers, however it’s not too bad in my opinion. Highly sought after Producers Dark By Design remixed an old OD404 track also, which has a nice memory personally having heard it a long time ago, but the highlight of the CD is the Paul Janes remix of If you love Me originally a production in the late 90s for Steve Hill under the guise of ‘Nylon’ A high octane ending to the cd is obtained and this is my favourite personally out of the 3, scoring a good 7/10

Conclusion:
Not my favourite release from Nukleuz, the insistence of putting on too many songs on esp cd1 doesn't really work. Not the worst release ever, but one you should only pick up if you're a fan of the material involved as it may not totally convince you.
