Original Mix: The Flute is an excellent uplifting Trancer with a great break that sounds like elements of Solid Globe – North Pole… never a bad thing!! The build up is minimal yet interesting till the break takes you by surprise. The lead sound is very catchy and fits perfectly amongst the rest of the fx and percussion. When the kick returns is all guns blazing as the infectious hook gets into your head. Not to drag out a good thing the track soon returns to a techy bassline and tight percussion to lead out of the tune!!
Airbase Remix: Airbase does here what he does best and takes a great tune and makes it better!! A great bassline builds the anticipation on the intro, and gradually more synths are added until we hit the breakdown. Here the tune comes into its own with an absolutely massive lead sound and arrangement! As it grows, the power comes back in and it’s a true hands-in-the-air moment.. the lead drops, teases then the kick returns to maximum effect. Similarly to the original, the remix doesn’t drag it out and soon returns to the great bassline and sounds to finish up!
Conclusion:
A brilliant debut release on this new label. If this is the standard they start with, its great news for Trance DJ’s around the world!!
